About
SENKO is a quiet game about incense smoke. You light a single stick of incense in a dark tea room at night, and a thread of smoke begins to rise. Your whole job is to tend that smoke with your finger, and it happens in two calm beats.
FIRST, CALM IT
The smoke starts churned and dark, knotted and restless. Drag across it to sweep and disperse the agitated coils. Each knot you loosen comes apart with a soft, settling release, and as the unrest fades the smoke lightens from ink-black to a clean, pale white. This first beat is the cathartic one: you are quietly clearing the air.
THEN, SHAPE IT
Once the smoke runs clear, a faint Japanese motif appears in the air above the censer - the moon, a wave, a crane, Mount Fuji, pine, koi, a folding fan, cherry blossoms. Guide the pale smoke along its lines with a single stroke until the shape fills in. A few embers drift up from the incense as you work - they glow cool blue at first, then slowly warm to red, and brushing a red one unsettles the smoke again, so guide around them. When the motif completes, it fixes all at once like a finished ink painting, a small bell sounds, and a soft bloom of light closes the scene.
A QUIET MASTER
An old master of incense named Ensai watches over the room. He is not a priest and this is not a ritual - he is simply a craftsman of scent who offers a few quiet words on each gesture. He teaches you the two beats in the very first stage.
WHAT IS IN IT
- 120 hand-tuned stages that drift through the seasons.
- No timer and no "game over." If the smoke thins out, add a little incense and carry on.
- Two helpers you can call on for a few seconds at a time: a fan that clears a wide patch of dark smoke while it blows, and a mist sprayer that briefly settles the drifting embers so you can shape in peace. Both are shown as counts you can top up.
- Incense is the soft currency you earn by finishing a scene.
- An optional video can add a fan, a mist sprayer, or more incense - always your choice, always marked.
- A calm soundtrack of Japanese instruments, soft sound effects, and optional haptics.
- 12 languages. Plays in portrait or landscape. Works offline after install.
- Made by PixelRyu, an independent developer.
There is no tobacco and no smoking here - only a stick of incense, a thread of smoke, and a few quiet minutes to clear your head. Light one, and breathe out.
