“Back” Button Broken
When searching for a doctor, you will noticed that the “BACK” button is broken as it will take you back to the homepage and you will lose all of your filter inputs. Annoying to retype and reselect every time I look at a different doctor’s information page.

No ability to reference my data in different parts of the same app
For example, schedule a virtual visit for a dependent. All the dependent’s info has to be retyped even though it’s all there in a different screen of the same app. Including finding the member number- all that data lost while going to a different screen of the same app. Have to write it down on paper before going back to the virtual visit and having to enter it all again.

Need Actual Primary Care Providers
Just started my health insurance through work, started the app and they gave me a primary care provider, the one given isn’t a primary care provider and neither is the 15 numbers I called trying to find a Dr to be MY Dr.

This app is a nightmare
What should’ve taken less than 15 minutes, booking a telehealth appointment with a psychiatrist took closer to 45 minutes with all the app glitches. With all the money these health corporations are raking in they could at least make a functioning app. As always these it’s profits over people with these scum bags. Shining the Luigi signal for the CEO of Sentara.

App crashes when trying to make virtual visits.
Terrible service
The app crashes and I am unable to use it because sentara isn’t managing all of the services. The app is for show almost 0 functionality. If I can get the find a doctor tab to actually work all the results are outdated and out of network when you call them. Terrible experience.

I am able to see my card, my coverage, and my claims. However, whenever I try to pay the monthly premium, this app ALWAYS says “We’re sorry, this service is currently unavailable. Please try again.” It is the same if I go online to Sentara also. To me that is unacceptable.

I have never had some much trouble using an app or trying to pay a bill. Online services do not work. On the app for the past 2 months all options have been “Temporarily out of service”.

The app alone is horrendous. It constantly has errors not allowing you to sign in, and when you call customer service you are transferred nearly a dozen times. You have to call customer service because the app doesn’t allow you to reset any account information because it doesn’t recognize your information.

buggy & rarely works
Since the shift from Optima Health to Sentara, the app has become practically unusable. I rarely had issues before, but now I can almost never access my ID card or search for a doctor without the app crashing, loading, running into error messages, etc.

Unable to see benefit details or look up claims. It either crashes or says the function isn’t available right now. Disappointing.
Unable to pay premium on the app, it just keeps saying
Unable to pay premium on the app, it just keeps saying “the service is currently unavailable. Please try again”. I tried doing it on the website and when I click Pay My Premium it does nothing. I tried emailing them and all they can say is use chrome and don’t block pops. I already tried that and it didn’t help. I sent them another email and they sent the same so called solution back even though I told them that didn’t help.
Now we cannot change opt PCP in the app or online. It just shows all doctors you select as not accepting patients. My wife called to have her pcp changed. A day later I see she still hadn’t had her pcp changed but they changed my pcp to the one she wanted. Aaargg so frustrating.
Fix the pay my premium and fix it so you can choose a pcp again.

Worst costumer service
Sentara Heath Plans has the worst and incompetent costumer service. It took them over 2 months to fix a premium and date mismatches. The app always reflects the wrong premium, sometimes you have to call them in order to pay with someone on the phone instead of paying it on the app. No one is helpful. Run!!

App unusable
The app is super buggy and I am unable to do anything in the app. Want to find a doctor? It crashes. Want to update info? Crashes. Sadly the website is NO better. Fix your stuff Sentara this is ridiculous!
Waste of time
It is literally the website, which is useless to pay a monthly premium, stuck inside of an app. As a software designer I’ve rarely seen a worse user experience and am flabbergasted that they allow this kind of incompetent work to go out the door.

Lacking Functionalilty
It’s nice that Sentara finally created an app for their health plans. However, the app seems buggy and half of what I try to click on within the app comes up with an error message that it’s not available right now. Also, as someone with an older and smaller, iPhone, I can tell that many of the pages within the app are formatted for larger screens and it’s hard for me to see everything on the page.

Horrible app, constantly won’t sign in
One moment is says account not found, and then 5 min later using the same Face ID login, it authenticates. There is clearly an error in their databases or authentication methods. Hilarious really considering the size of sentara. Can’t even make an app right

The insurance coverage is horrible but the ability to log into the app is just as bad. I’ve been trying to log in for quite some time now and nothing but the spinning wheel of death or a straight up error. Do not recommend
