Not working!!!
Just purchased the app, used the Apple adapter and a Samsung USB stick and tried to view recent clips and saved videos, bur app keeps closing. I can see the videos using the iphone files folder, but not through this app. Tried on my Ipad and same thing happens.
Does not work!
Got this app to read TESLA Sentry clips from a SanDisk iXpand stick. Would not read files. No response from the developer to my email sent to “Support”!

Didn’t see the detail that this app requires usb dongle to work with iXpand drives
$40 adapter needed
You will need to purchase a $40 powered USB adapter from Apple. Using apples lightening to USB cable does not work with SanDisk USB adapter with 128gb micro extreme card. Card also put into another micro sd usb reader and did not work. States the accessory requires to much power. So what devices does this work with??

Can’t get it to work
I put the videos on iCloud and can’t view them on this app. Don’t waste your money!
Great app support
I got to discuss via text with the app developer different options and settings. The app works as advertised and within Apple, Tesla, Lightning connector protocol and USB/SD card requirements. All of the above must line up for the app to work. Once done, the app is working perfectly.
Read the requirements in the description and be mindful that any other app will have the same issues, even if not described in the manual.

I have this app, iOS 13 device, High Endurance SD card from SanDisk, Defini Lightning and USB adapter AND Apple brand Lightning-to-usb-3-camera-adapter. The last item is apparently required even though I could plug Defini in the Lightning connector directly. But different protocols do not allow the devices to talk to each other without that Apple adapter.
Read the requirements in the description and be mindful that any other app will have the same issues, even if not described in the manual.

Very pleased; Recommend Sentry Eyes
Folks. It’s pretty simple. If you follow the recommendation and use an Apple manufactured dongle, the apps works great. I am using Apple SD card reader with lightning adapter to connect to iPhone XS. My micro SD card is Samsung 128 GB Pro Endurance (comes with SD card adapter). I could not be more pleased with the software. Easy to sift through footage, take screenshots and save video segments to iPhone.
My only ask to for developers is to stay hungry and continue to innovate. Please never let this app get stale without updates like some companies do. Should be more good things coming soon from Tesla WRT Sentry Mode, so please stay abreast and add new features to Sentry Eyes wherever possible.

Useless
This app wasted my time and money
This is great!
I just got this app and the old way I was trying to sift through saved footage and recent footage was such a pain and this app makes it so much easier to manage all the clips and I LOVE how you can select to view each camera individually or all 4 at the same time. The preview function is great in making all the clips based on time much easier to sort through and find. I just started playing with this app but it’s hands down a major improvement over the other way I was trying to access my videos.

Doesn’t read videos
Connects to USB drive but doesn’t allow you to view and play videos. Waste of money!
Sentry eyes
Great app to view your sentry events on your iPhone ASAP while still in your tesla. Purchase the adapter only from Apple. Then follow the simple instructions then it is ready to view! I highly recommend this app! Btw they give great customer service!
Does not work with reader
I have Patriot 128GB Supersonic Rage 2 thumb drive with reader adapter. It does not work. How do I get a refund?
Works without adaptor
I have a SanDisk thumb drive with USB on one end and USB C on the other. I can plug it directly into my 11” iPad Pro, and the app is able to view videos perfectly. Just an FYI. Great app!
Really neat app, simple to use
Once I got past using non-Apple lightning to USB dongle to connect my xpand Sandisk thumb drive, thanks to really fast and helpful tech support from the developer, it worked like a charm. I bought the expand thinking the drive with both usb and lightning connectors would be simple, turns out it didn’t work that way, you need the Sandisk app which doesn’t work with Sentry Eyes. As they said on the website you do need the Apple branded dongle, now it works great and fast. Great product.

Excellent App
Working good with my Samsung SSD T5 via the Lightning-USB dongle. Love the ability to export all videos together in one single video. Works wonderfully just as described.

Specific hardware required
Seller says will only work with an Apple approved Adapter. Will not work with any other Apple app for Tesla dash cam running simultaneously.
