Sentry: On-Device Signing

Sentry is the signing app for the DAMREV ecosystem. It turns your phone into the place where you approve and authorise transactions across DAMREV and the apps built on it, so that moving value always begins and ends with you. When you send funds or interact with a contract on the Stellar network, something has to produce a signature. Sentry is where that signature is made. The signing key is generated on your device during setup and is designed to stay there. It is marked non-exportable, which means it can approve a transaction but cannot be copied off your phone, read by another app, or handed to a server. No DAMREV service holds it, and no one keeps a spare on your behalf. Every approval waits for you. Before Sentry signs, it asks for your fingerprint, your face, or your device passcode. Nothing is authorised while your phone sits idle, and nothing is authorised without your confirmation. You also see what you are approving. A common risk in this space is signing an opaque payload you cannot read. Sentry simulates each transaction and presents it in plain language before you confirm, so you approve a clear description of what will happen rather than a string of characters. What Sentry does Keeps your key on your device. The key is created inside your phone's secure hardware, the Secure Enclave on iPhone, and is built so it can sign but never be exported. Signs only with your presence. Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode gates every signature. Shows the transaction in plain language. You confirm a readable description, checked by simulation, not a raw payload. Supports tiered approval. Routine, low-value actions can clear with your device key alone, while higher-value classes can be set to require an additional approval before they go through. Helps you recover access without giving up control. If your device is lost, a pre-arranged set of recovery signers can help you re-establish access. No single one of them can act alone, and none of them holds your funds. Runs Stellar-native.
