Exploring landscapes and mechanics
I hesitate to call something like this retro because it has quite a few newer concepts to it and isn’t particularly backwards gazing except for the notable exception that the game expects you to play it to understand it like many of the games of yore. It feels like you should have a manual to read but the missing information is all there in the game anyway just sort of waiting to be discovered. I initially picked it because the ZX palette is close to my beloved EGA palette which makes this a saturated colors on a black background wonderland. The monsters are as weird as you want them and the animations go a long way to imbuing personality. If you crave exploration and perhaps pushing a little bit farther than you ought to then I can think of no higher recommendation.

Game is great butt…
Who picked the horrible, horrible, and I mean really bad colors for this game? I really like playing it but I don’t know how to stop the bleeding from my eyes. That’s how bad it is. You can obviously see in the screenshots for the game. It’s sooo bad. So yeah great game, but just the worst possible color scheme in the history of gaming I think. I am totally exaggerating but yeah it looks pretty bad. I do like the game and I am joking about how bad the colors are. They are bad, but I think it’s still worth playing.

If you're not a ZX spectrum nostalgic to begin with it can be tough! Glad you were able to enjoy it anyway 😉 / lundstroem
A really well thought out game
This is a very well thought out game for what it is. Somewhat rogue line in design mixed with RPG qualities. In which time slips happen because it’s fun. Once you get used to the mechanics I keep coming back to play. The only issue I have is that the game freezes in Rebirth Two leveling up over 300. Hoping an update comes around, but I would recommend highly to pass the time in those slow spots in the day.

Thank you so much for the review, and for notifying about the level up issue! I'll address it in the next update / lundstroem
Clever little gem
Lundstroem has committed an act of somaturgy, imbuing a game devoid of dialogue and narrative with personality. Games that explore the premises of a world via mechanics are uncommon. Games that hone in on that dynamic by eschewing narrative entirely are a genuine rarity.
Simply just WOW!
This is unbelievable. Such a masterpiece. I found this game while lying very sick in bed. I was so depressed about my health deteriorating. Upon playing this game, my fears gradually went away and feeling better. I will continue to play this to make me back to what I was again! You deserve an award. Thanks! Edit: Finally hit Rebirth 2 and the challenge is great! Edit2: Leveling a character past 500 crashes the game. Still fun to play regardless of no longer being able to level up.
