Dreadful
I got this because I needed play alongs for jazz standards. But I cannot find them! The “help” is no help at all. Just the usual “push” rubbish. Where there is no search function!
The editor is hopelessly inadequate for the most basic use. I tried to create 1 bar , but the compulsory default seems to be 2!The interface is counterintuitive and mostly unusable . With buttons too small and too close together on a phone screen. I sense the use of “off the shelf” code libraries being compiled in the end product. A lazy and half baked approach at best.

Terrific app
Great sounds for practice, sketching songs, play alongs ... and when you dig a bit deeper, the parts are high enough quality to set up drums bass and rhythm parts for playing live. A really useful app.
Finally a great practise tool with a few ommisions
Im nicely surprised at how good this is. The organic feeling of the assets when put together give a good fluid realistic backing band. Very easy to operate and save result. My only criticism and one I don't think they'd be able to fix easily, is the omission of some chord types like quartal and So What voicings. The quartals for Tyner and Ogerman style arrangements. Apart from that this is great work and very much thought through.

Chords and printing
Great app, I use it and I real player, both have strong points. Sessions is audio quality,it is excellent.
I find the chord choices limited, one big improvement would be the ability to construct your own chords😊. The other request would be to print out Bb or Eb transcription chord chart.
Still it a great tool.

Très mauvais
Cette application suite des numéros 1,2,3 est nulle.
Impossible d’accéder aux fichiers pdf des standards.

Un progrès qui n’en est pas un… c’était trop beau.
J’apprécie beaucoup la série SessionBand (j’en ai cinq), malheureusement je viens d’acheter la Série jazz 4 qui est beaucoup moins fournie en styles que la version 1.
C’était une excellente idée de pouvoir télécharger des standards tout prêts à l’utilisation mais la plupart ne peuvent s’ouvrir ou ne correspondent même pas aux styles proposés dans la série 4, il n’y a même pas de style balade !
Pourquoi n’y a-t-il pas la possibilité de ce téléchargement de standard dans la série 1 qui est bien plus complète en styles ou remettre ses excellents styles dans cette serie 4.
Peut-être aussi rendre compatibles les fichiers avec toutes les séries confondues.
Vraiment déçu, pourquoi avoir supprimer ici les styles qui étaient si bien au départ ? c’est vraiment dommage d’avoir des musiciens superbes sur une application aussi lourde et enfermée.
S’il vous plaît, faites un effort pour remanier dans le bon sens pour que l’on puisse travailler confortablement :-)

Very good app but the 150 jazz backing tracks are not working with the last iOS update
The sound and ease of use is the best on the app store, but the backing tracks stopped working on my iPad Pro, maybe a bug to be fixed?
Terrible drain on battery
Great app, but expect to have to plug in your iPad the next morning, even though it was still close to fully charged when done using it at night.

Anders als bei iRB hast Du ein fortlaufendes Band, bist also ewig am hin- und herziehen, Akkorde einfügen, Taktlängen festlegen, nervt.
Apropos Akkorde: Während iRB ja nahezu alle möglichen Akkorde und Erweiterungen anbietet, ist es bei SessionBand je nach App recht limitiert, z.B. ein moll11 - nicht da … (In der Fusion App schon, dafür fehlt da dann irgendwas anderes …)
Die geladenen Standars funktionieren auch nur bedingt, manche sind großartig, modales Zeug kannst Du vergessen.
Halbtaktike Wechsel - nicht schön, Geschwindigkeit anpassen unbrauchbar.
Mich nervt auch, dass offenbar die Musiker in jedem Stil genau 1 Voicing für einen bestimmten Akkord anbieten, bei den Solophrasen, so gut sie an sich sein mögen, eben auch. iRB spielt da wesentlich abwechslungsreicher.
Man kann auch den Stil nicht wechseln, wenn der ein anderes Metrum hat: Ich kann also 3/4 Takte nur in dem einen Style spielen lassen, der eben im 3/4 ist. Wenn ich den selben Style gerne als 4/4 hätte - nö.
Alles in allem: nicht kaufen, lieber Miles über Autum Leaves raushören!

Only thing lacking would be a community or a forum for exchanging songs, maybe the same way as iRealPro does it.
Stay with it!
After an initial disappointment with this app I throughly changed my mind. I am a more than competent pianist so often play things in my self but the results that can be obtained by people who are not are real are really very impressive. It really is very nearly as good as it says it is. A couple of niggles, which to be honest for the price it is almost churlish to mention. 1 I find the placing of the chord flavours on the wheel a bit arbitary and would rather be able to see all of them on a grid,2 The lack of availability of slash chords is a pity but I can understand why. 3 The download mechanism for the free files really is a bit long winded but works well enough when you realise that you have to open one at a time and save it individually. There may be another way but I haven’t found it yet! I am not sure whether 4 supersedes all previous editions Ot whether there may be an advantage in getting one two and three as well. But in spite of the little reservations mentioned above this is a really very useful and the actual sound quality and playing of the instrument s cannot be faulted.

Killing app
Another amazing release from the SessionBand team, Jason Rebello’s piano voicings are incredible, plus the grooves of drummer Jeremy Stacey, an incredibly useful app for making play along, recommended
Lots of problems with this app
Unfortunately, although the the app sounds great I have experienced loads of problems. Downloading the standards has not been possible both on Mac and pc - which was the main reason for purchasing the app.
This is also not compatible with my older iPad- yet the other Jazz apps are.
I use Sonos speakers to play iReal pro backing with no problem at all but it is not possible to stream the audio from within the sessionband app using the latest iOS on my iPhone.
My older I pad does play audio from session band through the speakers - but there is a terrible lag on the audio, making reading the chords ‘live’ impossible.
Very disappointed!

Love the jazz standards
Am loving the jazz standards. I managed to download them all at once via Mac. Pat Clahar is a wonderful saxophonist. Mags.
Wonderful app
I love this app, for sure one of the best I bought.
150 Jazz Standards ready to play, fantastic sounds,
Drums loop preview, saxophone or bass incredible solos.
Now you can switch from 2 feel drums to 4 feel in the SAME song, stop for pickup also available.
Copy/paste functions have been improved + effects for all instruments.
Only two items left in my whish list:
1. Double bass 2feel to 4feel in the same song + pedal feature
2. Loop button to easily exit the chorus and go to the ending.
Sometimes I hear little noises during the transition from one chord to another (minor bug ?).

Jazz standards
The app is amazing, but jazz standards don’t work on IPhone with iOS 14. Why? When i try to open a downloaded file closed the app
Really good but how do you import the jazz standards?
First, very good quality backings with excellent musicians. However, not obvious how you import the 150 jazz standards. I managed to get to the files through iCloud but when I click on one it crashes. Please put instructions.
