WiFi only downloads and No support
I grabbed this app to practice bass guitar with.
The sounds are great and can be mixed in different ways nicely.
That said, there’s only a dozen or so of the various band style sound files that come with the initial download of the app. The other 60+ band sounds you have to download separately, one at a time, and only over WiFi.
I’ve checked everything I can think of to download with my unlimited cellular plan but the app only downloads the sound files over WiFi. If that isn’t bad enough, it also only allows one or two of the band style sound files to download at a time.
And that’s not all. Sometimes, the download will randomly stop after five to ten seconds and you have to hit the resume button. Downloads also stop when you navigate away from the app. Basically, you can’t simply get them all downloading in a queue while you do something else. Instead, you have to sit and monitor each and every download, which can take five minuets for each. Five times 60 files means you’re going to need a few hours to babysit the downloads.
I’ve emailed developer support several times but there has been no response.
I’m glad I’ve only purchased one of these Session Band packs so far. Not sure I’ll buy any more with this kind of hassle and no support.

Improvement needed
Generally a nice and useful app, but why on earth doesn’t it have basic functions such as zoomed out preview to see the whole page during a live performance, or export as pdf, or slash chords, or colouring the song parts? Hope this will be added in future updates
Good for Trying Ideas
I use it when I’m trying to create ideas quickly. It helps me get a sense of flow, and what chords progressions work best. It’s most helpful when I try the progressions in the other versions and compare the different variations.

Full screen mode update is terrible
Audio distortion issues resolved after I updated iPhone operating system. Update was done by inexperienced programmers. Bottom portion with tiny buttons is about 1/3 of display. Chord blocks and text are now annoyingly small. No one probably reviewed the results. Same poor design of display on acoustic and piano apps. App display layout not what is showing in advertisements of displays. Audio distorted since before recent update (on recent iPhone with latest OS)

Muito bom, porém o aplicativo sofreu uma atualização e parou de funcionar no momento em que eu estava utilizando. Isso é algo muito difícil de conceber.
Don’t waste your money.
I got this as a way to create backing tracks for practicing. I wish there were a way to return this and get my money back.
Here’s what’s wrong:
1) Only one sample per style, so no variation in music created
2) Styles are lame sounding
3) User interface is difficult to figure out. I mean, touching on the right side of a chord bubble thing to add a chord? Who thought of that?

1) Absolutely nothing.
Just buy iReal Pro instead.

TenorialI’m just a hobby guy
I’m just a hobby guy who likes to write my own stuff and while I play guitar and some piano, it certainly isn’t recording material. I have all the acoustic apps and just purchased the piano app and I find they are superb for what I need. Once I got the basic tutorials done, I was putting tunes together very easily. I really like the apps. Im now considering getting the loops for my PC. Please keep going SessionBand and keep putting out more of the apps.

I do like session band but when I export a track to Cubasis it lags.
I does not stay with metronome. So I can’t use it.

Must for budding musicians
If you’re a budding musician or a pro, this app is a great ,tool, for, different styles of music , Been using it for more than 5 years. Worth the money.
Poor edit page
Good loops but the whole app is not well designed.
No pause/play button in the edit screen.
This basic feature has been requested for years but developers don’t listen.

Clip length
They only thing I am having trouble doing is shortening and lengthening clips
Great sketching tool.
I’ve been using SessionBand for sketching some ideas for an audiobook score that I’m working on for an upcoming Audiobook written by a 5-time Grammy winning Musician. It has been invaluable for developing interesting chord changes and grooves.

Klasse App!!! mit einer Menge Abstrichen
Nachdem ich zuerst hocherfreut über die App(Serie) war, muss ich nun einiges revidieren. Als erstes hat die App nach 7 Jahren keine wirklichen Fortschritte gemacht. Die Wichtigsten der von allen geäußerten Mängel wurden nicht behoben. Tenäre Takte: Fehlanzeige! Es fehlen immer noch Slashchords. UND die BPM sind von App zu App NICHT IDENTISCH, will sagen 90 BPM vom Original ist länger als die 90 BPM von der Piano App. Das geht gar nicht!!!
