Pretty bad
I love Baratza - I do. But this app is bad, really bad. It should minimally show you the current version of the firmware and only show if there is an update to be applied. Otherwise, it should show nothing other than it is the current version. And what’s with the two firmware choices? Unnecessarily confusing. Again, I love my Sette 270wi but this app has to change.

Horrible experience
I would be embarrassed to release such a horrible app. It is unnecessarily confusing and doesn’t seem to work most of the time. And such a simple concept - start app, select device to update and, well... update it. It just sits and does nothing, no progress, no error, who knows if it is or is not doing anything. Love my Sette 270wi grinder but literally hate this app and needs an update ASAP.

An effort...
You can tell this wasn’t made by a company that deals in software often.
Very non intuitive and ugly, but it does work if you follow the instructions. And I can’t imagine firmware updates for a coffee grinder are going to be too frequent, so meh.

Works
The app worked fine on my 270wi, it only took me a few minutes to update my firmware. The app does look ancient and could be designed a little better. E.g a feature to show your current firmware update and if there’s new firmware updates to name a few.
Very nice
Do what it’s suppose to do! The option to see weight from the Etzinger module is very nice. Can be useful for weight cleaning powder. Note first time I did the update I lost my 3 weight setting, you should maybe notes those one before to be sure to keep it.
Don’t do it until V 1.0.4 is out!
After installing the new Sette 270wi display panel, I discovered that this app won’t sync with the new panel, and the grinder won’t work at all unless I reinstall the old panel. The problem, Baratza’s tech told me, is a bug in this version that Acaia needs to fix. Until the new version is out, do not install the 270wi panel or you will have a useless grinder!

Stuck in the past
The developer of this app seems to be stuck in the past , the app looks it was build by a 5 years old, as of today still does not support iPhone X and above, the app won’t tell you your grinder software version, and won’t tell you if there is an update for your grinder, even in their website, there is not a section that talk about updates and what’s the latest for your grinder..... poor support for almost $600 grinder
