Top Sextant app.
I’ve tried several of these apps, and in my opinion, this is the best free app out there. I tested its “height calculator” several times, and if you get the distance from the object correct, the height is correct. The video talks about distance in “paces” so, don’t be put off. Do it in feet, or for those like me who prefer decimal, use centimetres and metres. Living in England I need to be lucky to see the sun, let alone use a sextant to calculate my Latitude. So, I’ll need to get back to you on that subject. 😎
