Great app, nonexistent support.
I’ve used Shadow Weather for quite a while and, until recently, have been very happy with it. It’s a good weather app and my paid Premium subscription worked well for a long time.
One day about two weeks ago the app simply stopped recognizing my active subscription. Apple still shows the $1.99/month subscription as active, but Shadow Weather treats me as a free user. I’ve tried restoring purchases, restarting my phone, completely uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and even installing it on another Apple device. Nothing has restored Premium access.
The bigger disappointment has been the support. I emailed the developer with a detailed description of the issue and troubleshooting I’d already completed, then followed up again after receiving no response. Several days later, I still haven’t heard anything.
I’ve now requested a refund through Apple. I don’t like leaving a negative review because the app itself served me well for a long time, but if you charge for a subscription, there needs to be some avenue for support when a paying customer suddenly loses access to what they’re paying for.
I’d happily update this review if the developer responds and gets the subscription issue resolved.

Premium doesn’t work
Used to be my favorite weather app, hands down. Now premium subscription doesn’t work and hasn’t for several months. Developer does nothing and doesn’t respond to email.

If this app had widgets, quicker updates, and a little more text describing the forecast, it would be the perfect app. Wondering if this app is still supported?

Best weather app hands down.
Easy to use and very accurate. I like the fact the developers use multiple sources to compile their data. The lightning tracker is amazing and it’s kinda fun to watch and track lightning. The app is customizable which is an added bonus. A lot of work went in to this app which is appreciated.
Widgets/Updates
If this app had widgets, quicker updates, and a little more text describing the forecast, it would be the perfect app.
Terrific
I really like this app a lot. It reminds me of the old Dark Sky app which I loved. My only criticism is that the radar map takes a long time to load and sometimes doesn’t load at all.

Great App But Needs Widgets and Better Notifications
This could be a Dark Sky Weather replacement with a few tweaks. It needs widgets, better notifications, and Apple Watch and it would be a home run. If the developers added these additional features we would be willing to pay a little more for a subscription. Thanks
Best weather app, hands down
I’m somewhat of a weather nerd and have purchased a lot of apps for both iOS and Android.
Shadow Weather is a must on every phone and tablet I use. When I switched to an iPhone from a Pixel, it was my first purchase.
The UI is simple, intuitive and informative. Accuracy is great and customization is wonderful.
I do wish there was some love for the Apple Watch, a complication or two would be appreciated.

Please Add IOS Widgets
Love the app. Definitely worth purchasing the 12month subscription. Would greatly appreciate and benefit from a widget feature.
Far better than apple weather
Apple bought the best app, Dark Sky, and killed it, and their weather app is still hot garbage. Shadow Weather is a worthy successor to Dark Sky, and currently has the option to watch an ad a day to get the premium upgrade. I now have the accuracy of Dark Sky that I’ve missed so badly.
Shadow weather best current weather app
I used shadow weather on Android for two years. Now it's available on iOS. The accuracy is very good with multiple weather Data sources. The real significant feature is the UI and the way it presents lots of information in a very clean and usable format. It is by my estimate the best weather app on iOS by far check it out you won't be disappointed. It is like dark sky used to be before apple assumed them

A decent app. But no widgets and updates are scarce
Radar scope, National WX, Accuweather and numerous other apps have widgets that update constantly. Radars need updates as they won't load or take minutes to load and then don't animate.
Newly Discovered
I stumbled upon this app through a website. I’m a weather nerd so always looking for something new and accurate. So far it’s been pretty accurate. Really would like a widget but I saw the developer ‘s reasoning. Hopefully that can be worked out.
Bad Data
Always shows a 0% chance of precipitation. Doesn’t show future wind chill.
Best weather ap I’ve found since Apple dismantled Dark Sky
Seems very accurate and reasonably priced. Extremely pleased! I loved dark sky that Apple purchase and then dismantled.. so stupid ! Happy I found this one : )
