Naja & viel zu teuer

Die Idee ist nett, aber leider ist die Datenqualität viel zu schlecht.
Zum einen sind die 3D Modelle der Häuser teilweise deutlich versetzt und viel zu gering aufgelöst, zum anderen gibt es keine Daten zum aktuellen Stand der Vegetation (woher auch).
Da man weder die Position und Form der Gebäude manuell korrigieren kann, noch Bäume bzw. anderen Bewuchs hinzufügen kann, sind die Daten ehr nur als sehr grobe Schätzung zu gebrauchen.
Dafür ist der sehr hohe Preis absolut nicht angemessen.

Hallo, danke für dein Feedback – du kannst die 3D Daten allerdings ändern! Bitte öffne nochmal die App und klick auf ein Gebäude um die Höhe anzupassen und öffne die Tools oben links um neue Gebäude oder Bäume einzufügen. Great app

Particularly helpful when looking at flats / houses if you want to check how the sun will be in relation to the property.

Disappointing

Challenging to use and only had some park trees mapped, no street trees were included.

Hello, thank you for your review. Please note that on data that is publicly available and if tree data is not compiled we can't show it unfortunately. But you can use our editing tools on the top left in the app to add trees in your account for free. Please give it a try and if it works for you consider changing the review, that would be very helpful, thank you!

Great App

I’m using this app and also the web version, it helps me a lot for my shootings on sunrises / sunsets, I’m using the free version and for the moment it’s great, thanks Shadowmap Team

Premium Access Problem

I had high hopes for this app but there is no way to find out because I can’t get into the premium features. I tried to contact support but have not heard back from anyone. At this point the only recourse I have is to dispute the charge with my CC company.

Hello, please check your emails, we replied to your email on April 15 from support@shadowmap.org asking for your confirmation to change your subscription from yearly to monthly and your login issue. Please make sure to use Google login as you signed up that way. We can only reply once to this review here so please reach out to us via email and we can solve everything. We can already see the dispute you requested, when this is settled you can simply create a new monthly Home subscription as your initially requested. Best regards, Michael

Do not buy

Terrible app. Doesn’t not show trees of surrounding areas and how they shadow solar. Very expansive, the app glitches all the time, also doesn’t allow you to put specific address in, only allows street name then you have to go and find your house.

Shadowmap is an outstanding app for visualizing sunlight and shadows in 3D. It’s intuitive, precise, and incredibly useful for understanding sun exposure at any location and time of year. On top of that, the customer support is excellent — responsive, helpful, and genuinely committed to finding fair solutions. A great product backed by a great team. Highly recommended.

Bug constamment

Cette app avait tout pour plaire, si on occulte un prix délirant avec toutes les options (50 par mois lol). Mais inutile de tenter quoique ce soit, ça bug sur iPhone au moindre mouvement sur la map. Inutilisable donc.

Pretty bad app

The map itself is like a 2bit map making it completely blurry and unusable. The ui is clunky and outdated. Half the screen is the controls that you cannot collapse. There is always and upgrade button that never goes away even though I already upgraded and could not care less about the real estate features. Seems like this app was made in 2015 then never updated.

Ständige Abstürze IOS 18.5

Schlecht. Abo rückgängig gemacht wegen sehr häufiger Abstürze unter IOS 18.5/Iphone 13Mini. Zudem funktioniert die Funktion nicht um nach der Adressen Eingabe die Karte auch dorthin springen zu lassen (pfeil nicht vorhanden in Adresseingabefeld)
Kundenservice direkt kontaktiert, meldet sich nicht zurück…frustrierend Abo rückgängig gemacht.

Price

It’s too expensive to be honest. Bring the price down a bit to make it realistic and accessible to more people. It’s an interesting app but you must be made to pay £20 just for curiosity sake.
