About

Find Qibla with the Sun, Moon and stars, and explore the sky from your location with Shatrah. Local astronomical calculations work offline, with no magnetic compass, account or subscription. Qibla stays at 0 degrees Qibla remains at the top of the map. Rotate your phone to match a vertical stick's shadow or a familiar celestial object with its direction on screen. A short, skippable quick-start guide explains location selection and alignment; reopen it from the menu anytime. Sun by day, stars by night Day view shows the Sun and shadow direction. Night view shows the Moon, planets and bright stars, with approximate colors and brightness cues. Show or hide object names to keep the map clear. Automatic view follows the Sun Auto uses the Sun's position at your selected location, not the phone theme. Night view starts when the Sun is more than 3 degrees below the horizon. You can choose Day or Night manually anytime. Upcoming Qibla alignments See the next two Sun and next two Moon alignments toward or opposite Qibla from your location, with altitude and visibility notes. Location and privacy Use GPS, select a city or enter coordinates manually. Calculations run on your device without internet access. GPS coordinates stay local, without sending them for a place-name lookup. Arabic and English interfaces, with no advertising. Times use your device timezone, even when selecting another city. Update your location when travelling and keep the device date and time correct. Positions and alignment times are estimates; weather and terrain can affect visibility. Never look directly at the Sun. Developed by Dr. Mazen Alzamel. Free of charge and not for profit.
