swaps to ai generated graphics halfway through
(I will GLADLY change my opinion if it turns out I’m wrong or they change the game, but until then this is my review)
Alright, to start off, the puzzles in this game are REALLY good in my opinion. Sure, I got stuck from a lack of direction a few times, but the puzzles and setup are both extremely fun to play through!
…then, there’s a quiet undertone during the ending of the second chapter where the portraits animate and it looks a liiiiittle off. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and moved on.
The third chapter's thumbnail may reuse previous assets, but one look at the character portrait reveals a very distinctly ai look, one that persists through what I could muster of the chapter before skipping to see if the rest also used ai
Ignoring the ai political cartoon art style to once again give the benefit of the doubt, the very first puzzle of the fourth chapter, the rotating tiles one, has a VERY distinctly ai generated animation upon completion, so I once again skipped forward.
While the fifth chapter's art style COULD be manmade, some images can definitely be seen as animated via ai.
Knowing this, look at how simple the game's layout and graphics are. Everything is so simply drawn and the focuses are not even complex in the first place, and yet they STILL suddenly decided to use ai! I am frankly appalled and it’s disgustingly pitiful.
If there is a way to refund the $2 I spent to unlock all the chapters, I genuinely want to know so I can get my money back

They managed to take the interactive escape-style game we all know and love…and re-work it into something quite different.

There are 5 different themed sub-games. Finding the item cards & person cards to open the next play screen, containing 4-5 puzzles & interactive areas.
Hoping CG creates another game like this in the future :)

was cool at first but i think third level they started using ai for everything
Didn’t Like The AI
I really enjoyed the clever puzzles and I paid for the full game because I wanted to support a creative and unique new puzzle game, but it started to become abundantly clear that corners were cut in the art department: from the wildly different art styles in the chapter art on the main menu to the reused assets and the really really distracting use of AI art especially in the third chapter but probably all over the game in hindsight. I couldn’t finish the third chapter or keep playing in good conscience if I was just going to be looking at the AI assets for much longer.

I enjoy mystery puzzles and the point and click kind. I was disappointed when I finished that I didn’t have any more to play! I liked the story telling and the way that characters were introduced with a separate desk/environment that all fit together. It’s one I can see myself playing again to figure out the mysteries

Another quirky, fun game
This is a nice game, Cotton always seems to be doing something a little different. I find their level of difficulty just hard enough for me. My only suggestion would be to add some indication of which games one has completed, especially for when you’re doing more than one at a time.
Don’t pay, has AI
This game clearly contains AI generated content ,which I didn’t know before I paid. This disgusting and lazy for a game with a really good concept. I want my money back.
Too Much AI Slop!
I liked the first chapter, so bought the other 4, expecting them to be similar, but they’re all so obviously AI. It takes away any character from the game and I almost instantly lost interest. A waste of money that I won’t get back.

i played the first level as a free trial, and it seemed fun, so i decided to pay for the other levels, they’re AI slop to say the least, not an ounce of though on design or anything, just like AI has made the whole game

I can’t believe how good this game is! I love those games where you break down the puzzle and point and click. I am a huge rusty lake fan and this was the only game I came to find that comes close to the strategy.
I rarely write reviews ( this is probably my second ever) but this game deserves the recognition. I’m glad I found it and downloaded it. I bought the pack and it was sincerely a great puzzle game with a good story!!!! I hope the developer decides to publish more games!

I love this game so much, what a cool concept with the photos and puzzles !!!!!! Please make more levels or a sequel game ❗️ I’m obsessed with it I already replayed all the levels twice 🥹 oh, and I noticed a bug where sometimes the items have the incorrect names (like the meteor being labeled black star) it’s not a big deal but just a heads up!!
