About

Shiftly is the effortless mileage tracker built for Rivian owners who drive for work. Connect your Rivian account once. From that moment on, Shiftly silently pulls your vehicle's odometer and GPS data on the server — no app to keep open, no battery-draining phone GPS — and builds a complete log of every shift and drive you take. At tax time, you get a clean, IRS-formatted annual mileage report ready to hand your accountant or attach to your return. AUTOMATIC TRACKING Your Rivian's own telemetry — not your phone — does the tracking. Shiftly reads odometer, battery, and charging data from Rivian's servers. There is no background location permission requested, and your phone battery is never affected. BUSINESS vs. PERSONAL Every drive is listed in the app. Tap to tag it Business or Personal. Only business miles count toward your deduction — personal miles stay separate and out of your report. BATTERY & ENERGY Every drive shows the battery you started and ended with, and the energy (kWh) it used. Open a drive to see battery, speed, altitude, and power along the entire route. CHARGING Shiftly logs every charging session automatically — home AC and public DC alike. See energy added, charge time, and cost, with an AC/DC breakdown, and scrub the DC fast-charge power curve to read the exact kW and battery % at any moment. REPORTS Weekly and monthly summaries — now including the energy you charged — keep you informed year-round. When tax season arrives, your annual IRS-style mileage report is already waiting. MAPS See any drive drawn on the map and scrub the route to read battery, speed, altitude, and power at any point along the way. Open a day's Map to see all of that day's drives together — every stop numbered and color-coded business vs. personal. WHO IT'S FOR • Rideshare and delivery drivers logging shift miles • Self-employed contractors, consultants, and freelancers • Real-estate agents and anyone who drives to clients or job sites • Any Rivian owner who deducts vehicle miles at tax time WHAT YOU NEED A Rivian vehicle and a Rivian account. Connect once in the app and Shiftly takes care of the rest. PRIVACY Shiftly is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Rivian. Mileage data comes from your vehicle — we never track your phone's location. See our privacy policy at rideshiftly.com/privacy.

Sign in with Google or Apple. Creating an account or coming back now takes a couple of taps, and your existing email login keeps working exactly as before. The Trips tab opens with a THIS MONTH card that totals your distance, your trip count, and your business share for the month so far. Trip times now follow the time zone the car was actually in, so a drive in another state reads at the local clock instead of yours. Every drive records tire pressure and graphs it across the trip, next to battery, speed, altitude, and power. Scrubbing any of those graphs feels better too, with a light tick as your finger crosses each point. Shiftly now keeps your Rivian's software update history and sends you a push when a new version is ready to install. The Vehicle tab shows when your car was built, and service visits are kept in their own history. Reports go deeper. Tapping a weekly or monthly report brings up charging next to mileage, with daily kWh, a chart you can drag across, and, on a monthly report, every week it contains. The Charging screen and the report cards are now configurable the same way the Trips list already was, so you choose which numbers get the space. On the first of each month a notification sums up the month you just finished, the miles you drove, your business share, and the energy you charged. You also get a heads up when a new vehicle appears on your Rivian account. There is also a new app icon, plus fixes across trip detection, charging sessions, and report totals.
