I’d give it 10 stars if I could

I imported a vehicle from Australia to the US, and it was an awfully long process that required loads of patience. The ShipAtlas app allowed me to keep an eye on the vessel carrying my vehicle, and it was quite fun watching it sail to ports around the world. I had an issue where my notifications weren’t coming through so I messaged the support team. They responded immediately and fixed the problem completely in a day or two, all while being informative and very friendly to chat with. This is truly a fantastic app with an even better dev team. 10/10.

Theft

Developer changed the standard plan options that i paid for into a premium plan that cost more money. I paid for these option when i purchased the standard plan and suddenly they are no longer available because i dont have the premium plan. Developer sees no issue with demanding more money for services i already agreed to and paid for. This is unethical and beware of what they will do next do you. Avoid at all cost. This program with the standard plans $120 provides less than a free marine traffic account. Steer clear of this one

Regarding the subscription plan changes—we updated our plans in July 2024 (about six months ago) and notified our users via email in advance. At that time, users who requested refunds were accommodated accordingly. Additionally, with the ShipAtlas Standard plan, you can view up to five satellite AIS positions of vessels simultaneously—significantly more (and at a much lower cost) than any other vessel tracking application currently offers. I love the route generator, I just wish it showed the lat/long for the waypoints it generates.

Buyer beware

The merchant severely crippled the standard pay plan and refuses to refund or grandfather existing subscriptions. I’m left with a $120 paperweight. EDIT: the developer has replied in an intentionally deceptive way instead of addressing the root of their dishonest business practices. Look at competitors. You’ll get more for less, with far more transparency.

They have now offered a refund.

Dear user, today under ShipAtlas Standard plan you can unlock and track up to 5 ships simultaneously; however, you can also remove and add new ships to follow at any time during your subscription period. It is important to note that you can switch between ships without any limitations. Therefore, you can still access live AIS information about any ship you like, but to do so you have to unlock it.

Dock operator

This app definitely makes my job a little easier. Before I got it we had to stand at the end of the dock and patch for the ship to get near.

Tracking boat

This app has been amazing. My boyfriend is out in Alaska for a few months fishing on a boat and I can track his boat (for my own piece of mind) and it shows the weather conditions, how far away they are from whatever port you want to check, it updates fairly fast and shows how long they’ve been out to sea. I recommend this app 100%. Very very happy with the outcome of it.

Good app

It’s pretty good. I wish it had a better interface and gave the ETA, it only shows the estimated date. I paid for satellite tracking for one month and have been happy with that.

Best Ever Ship Tracking App

Modern UI design with super smooth operations. Enjoy the use of MapBox as map layer and the nice color scheme. Even without subscription we can get some satellite info for the ship.
