Computer voice
It uses a computerised American voice instead of the warm real voice used on radio. So completely and utterly useless. Worst app I’ve ever downloaded and I’ve downloaded some bad apps.
Nice idea, but....
Yes, I'm a "dyed-in-the-wool-BBC Radio-4-until-I-die" person. 😄 However: as a regular insomniac, one of reasons the shipping forecast is so soothing is entirely down to the intonation. A synthesised American text-to-speech voice misses the point by an margin almost incalculable! GET RID OF IT - please. Also, is this app actually the current forecast? I couldn't tell. Great idea but work needed on some fundamental things.

Don’t be fooled
This is a computerised american reading of the shipping forecast rather than the trade mark soothing voices of the actual forecast readers.
It’s neither soothing nor accurate as the computerised voice can’t cope with some of the names.
