Response from developer

Thanks for reporting this. Version 3.0.2 fixes it, and the bells now ring in the background and on the lock screen. Please update and let me know how it sounds. Fair winds!

Good app

Very nicely done. Could you tell me how to purchase to support more development?

Response from developer

Thank you so much, you can absolutely support more by purchasing the app and also check out my others, Belfry and The Dream Machine. Thank you! Also, Open Ship’s Clock, tap Settings, then Unlock Ship’s Clock. It’s a one-time purchase that keeps every bell and face yours for life, and it directly supports new updates. Fair winds!” Please check that “Settings” matches where the unlock actually sits in the app.

Question/request

Love it. Can we get an option to change or remove the background? Or even get the other image (fish underwater) instead of the air balloon and lighthouse.

Response from developer

Great idea, thank you. A background picker is on the list for an upcoming update.

I love this app

Extremely well executed. Beautiful sound design and visuals.

Your iPhone, Now a Ship’s Clock

This app nails atmosphere. Ship’s Clock isn’t just a timekeeper, it’s an experience. The authentic bell chimes every half hour, the live weather and moon phases, and the subtle lighthouse animations make your phone feel like a captain’s quarters. The attention to detail (like the traditional 1–8 bell watch system) is seriously impressive.

No ads, no subscription just a one-time purchase for something that feels handcrafted. If you’re into maritime history, ambient vibes, or just want a unique, calming clock, this is an easy recommendation.

Response from developer

What a review. "Captain's quarters" might be the best words anyone's ever used to describe what I was reaching for. The bells, the watches, the moon phases — they're all small acts of love for a tradition I think is worth keeping alive. Thank you for noticing the details. Eight bells and all is well. ⚓🔔 Thank you my brother - Smooth sailing! — Captain Mooks
