About
Shoebox keeps track of how far your running trainers have been, so you find out a pair is finished before your knees do.
It reads your completed runs from Apple Health and logs them against the shoes you were wearing. Carry on recording with Apple Fitness, or whatever you already use - Shoebox works alongside your running app rather than replacing it.
Your runs arrive on their own
No starting anything, no stopwatch, no second app to remember at the door. Finished runs land on your default pair, and if you wore something else it takes two taps to move them.
Kilometres, and what they cost
Ten flat kilometres and ten hilly ones at threshold are not the same thing to a midsole. Every run gets a wear figure worked out from its distance, its climbing and its pace - and the app shows its working, so you can see exactly why a run scored what it did.
It tells you when to start looking
A pair goes from fresh, to worth a look around, to the retirement window, and says so on the card and in a notification. Shoes rarely give out on a Tuesday. You get warning.
Rotation, last 30 days
If you own three pairs and wear one of them, you own one pair and two ornaments. Shoebox splits your recent kilometres across the rack and tells you what you're actually doing.
The foam is the thing
A midsole is a block of foam that gets slightly flatter every time you land on it, and which foam it is decides how many landings that takes. Set a pair's shoe type and Shoebox adjusts what you should expect from it.
A rack you recognise
Pairs go by the names you call them, not the model on the box. Photograph a shoe side-on against a plain background and Shoebox lifts it out for its portrait.
No account, your own iCloud
There is nothing to sign up for and no server of ours. Your rack syncs between your own devices through your own iCloud account. No analytics, no ads, no third-party SDKs.
Your data, exportable
Every pair and every run saves as spreadsheet-friendly CSV, built on your phone and handed to the share sheet. The wear columns are the app's own arithmetic, so a spreadsheet can check its working.
Shoebox reads from Apple Health and never writes to it - we're committed to being careful with your data.
