Used to be great. Not anymore.
This used to be a fantastic app. It was intuitive and easy to use. Now, since the last update, the user interface is absolutely awful. It’s clunky and jumpy, everything is harder and it’s just worse in every possible sense. Whoever designed the update woke up and thought ‘how can we make a shopping experience even less enjoyable’ and they really succeeded. Actively looking for a new app to download after I’ve written this review.

Used to be perfect
I used this app for about 5 years and never had any issues. Now with the new update, items disappear from the list, sometimes random ones pop up, the order of items jumble up randomly so it’s hard to keep track of things. The keyboard bounces everywhere and it’s become a 0/10 user experience. Go back to the way it was please. I’m looking for an alternative now 💔💔💔💔💔

Use Apple Reminders Instead
Used to use this until they added a paywall for coordinating on lists with others
Have since discovered that the out of the box Apple Reminders app does the job better, and it’s free.

To the app developers- do not release your redesigned app and the updates, until you have tested it in a sandbox.. My review: This has been my trusted app for many years and after the recent redesign and updates releases in recent months, it is all but unusable: items disappear randomly…items get duplicated and some items just appear out of nowhere!! So after many years of use, I am sadly, having to look elsewhere

Used to be brilliant
Used this app for years with my partner, it was fantastic for collaborating, planning and organising. As long as you’ve got your phone, whoever ends up at the supermarket knows what to get.
Now to be able to share the list you have to pay for it? Totally defeats the point. Going elsewhere to look for an app that has the features we need for free.
If it was paid for originally I would have considered it years ago at the time, but making a function that is so so useful only suitable for premium accounts is so money-grabbing I don’t want to give in and pay. Would rather pay for another app.

Why fix it if it isn’t broken?
Can we go back to how it was 3 months ago? It’s was perfect. Every update recently there’s new issues. We don’t need new features or layout. It worked before. It doesn’t now. Items going missing from my list constantly. Irritating
Great app (previously)
This was a fantastic app for my wife and I to plan/share/shop. Its latest upgrade is awful. Every time you open the app you get a new list rather than the default ‘shared’ list so we finish up with lists that we can’t share. You have to actively delete non-shared lists to get back to the original. Please do something about this.

I used to love your app and the way my husband and I could share it, adding products to the list which either of us could use when we went shopping.
I am so disappointed with the new app. We add products now and they disappear. Products do not sync with my husband's app and disappear before we remove them.

Very poor update
It used to be possible to add items accurately and very quickly by typing the first few letters of a word and selecting a displayed option. The new update causes partial entries to be made unless you type out each item in full or select the item from a long table which is equally slow. As a result I have given up and stopped using it.

Update disappointment
Used this app for years, sharing the list with my husband. Since the update can no longer share unless you pay premium.
Updates have ruined it
This used to be a really simple and very useable app, not a few weeks ago they updated it and ruined almost all of the worthwhile functionality. Products now appear in wrong categories, items you add disappear or have been removed from the directory, the process for ticking items off is now animated and slow. A real shame as this used to be so useful but now it’s just another over designed app that doesn’t do the most basic functionality.

Vibecoded trash deletes items from my list!
Worse than useless after the updates. Deletes items from my list when I try to add new ones on the bottom, making me forget what was meant to be on there. Test changes before you release, please…
Poor app following recent update
My husband and I have been using this app for years on the subscription and it’s been fantastic. We’ve been able to use it with ease no issues. However the recent update (April 2026) is shocking. The keyboard is slow and unresponsive, we can’t get it to sync between our phones anymore and the last time I used it, it deleted my entire shopping list. I’ve no idea why the developers have changed it. Bring back the old version! Don’t fix what isn’t broken! Really disappointed and looking for alternative.

Such a shame
Used to be good but now it’s not really worth it. If you want to share a list you all need to pay for the premium service. Plenty of other shopping list apps out there for FREE you just need to look.
Was great - update changed to much
Used this app for years - was ideal, could edit sections and groups and create your own. Recent update looks totally different and cannot find how to edit and create new categories. Used it and found items missing that put on and groupings were not right and had to move things. Not anywhere near as good as original. Such a shame

Not free to share the list anymore
I used the app for a long time. The sharing the list option used to be free of charge. Following latest update if you want to share the list you have to pay subscription. Time to delete app and look elsewhere
Disappointed
I loved this app but it has consistently gone downhill, the new update is awful.
I used to be able to have three lists without subscribing, I deleted one to create a new one and can’t without the subscription, I’m deleting the app and going with a different one that is much more user friendly. Shame this app has gone this way.

Update EVERY DAY
Recently the app has been updating EVERY DAY, whats going on.
Its a simple basic app that the Notes app could do just as well, if theres one more update I'm deleting
