Exactly what I need and nothing more

This app is exactly what I’ve been needing as a director /producer for a long time. I can tell it’s made by someone who understands the process because it’s very intuitive. I’ve never had to look for more than one second to know what to do, and every time I’ve needed to be able to do something, the feature is right there where I would expect it to be. I just used this to produce a five episode series, and the process was effortless. I was especially impressed because, unlike even more professional established software, I didn’t experience any glitches or frustrations with the interface. Everything worked just as I needed it too. And unlike the other software companies out there, I’m overjoyed that this is a one time purchase. Pay for itself many times over. Highly recommend!

Beautiful e-conte implementation

I direct animation in Japan and this is almost exactly what I want in a tablet storyboarding app. One essential function still lacking that I’d need for longer projects, but this is a great start and I look forward to further development.

Very nicely done.

Nice storyboarding app

Simple easy to understand and works well. Like how I can view my script at same time I work on the storyboard. Multiple sizing for the writing tool. 3 different brush types and multiple colors to pick from.

Response from developer

Thanks so much for your review! Glad you're finding ShotGlide simple to use and enjoying working with your script alongside your storyboard. It's also great to hear the different brushes, line sizes, and colors fit your workflow. Many more useful features are coming in the next update!

Great for on-the-fly ideas and planning

This app is exactly what I would want out of a storyboard app for the iPad! Lets you jot down ideas quickly and is super intuitive. Doesn’t replace higher-end programs like Storyboard Pro, but when you have an idea you want to thumbnail ASAP, this is the app for that. Only thing I feel is missing is an onion skin tool - then it’d be even better!

Response from developer

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review. We’re really glad ShotGlide feels intuitive. That quick thumbnailing stage is exactly where we hoped the app would be useful, so it’s great to hear it helps you stay in the flow and get your ideas down quickly. Onion skin is a great suggestion, and definitely something we’ll keep in mind as we continue improving the app. Thanks again for the support!

Useful app for quick storyboards

I downloaded this app to give me a quick setup for storyboards in a digital media class. I can see myself using this outside of this class too. It’s very simple to use with an easy learning curve. Love that there is a one time payment option as many apps are overly confident in requiring subscriptions. I am not using this app for film making so I’m not exactly sure if it meets all of the needs for that. However, it has many other storyboard uses like creating a mood board, picture board, quick sketch, design sprints, etc. You can add notes, easily reorganize the panels, export your work, add photos, etc.

ShotGlide was designed to keep visual planning flexible, so we’re thrilled to hear it also fits mood boards, picture boards, and design sprints! We’re also really glad the one-time payment worked well for you. Thanks again for taking the time to share this with other users.
