What's New in ShowSeeker
2.5.0
August 30, 2026
The biggest ShowSeeker update yet. NEW: SHOWS TAB A home for the series you follow. Keep watching picks up where you left off, an agenda shows what's airing next, and a third view groups every show by status — watching, not started, up to date, finished, dropped — with the episodes you have left shown on each poster. NEW: PRIVATE NOTES Write a note on any movie, show, list or episode. Nobody else ever sees them, and they all gather under My notes. NEW: PRIORITIZE YOUR WATCHLIST Put what you'll actually watch next at the top, instead of hunting through everything you ever saved. NEW: PARENTS' GUIDE Recommended age and a breakdown by category — violence, language, sex and nudity, drinking and drugs — on movie and TV pages. NEW: HELP ON EVERY SCREEN Tap the (i) in any header for a short article explaining that screen, plus a searchable Help Center in the side menu. NEW: START WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT A new first run: pick your platforms, tap a few titles you like, and land on a shelf of what to watch tonight. No sign-up needed — and anything you save is kept if you create an account later. PEOPLE PAGES Photo galleries, and a new section showing what you've already seen each person in, with your own rating beside it. Biographies fall back to English when there's no translation, and people who have died now show their lifespan properly. MORE RATINGS Rotten Tomatoes audience score alongside critics, plus Letterboxd and Trakt. IN CINEMAS, OR NOWHERE Title pages now say when something isn't on any streaming service — and when it's showing in cinemas instead. REBUILT LIST SCREEN Name, type and count on a single line, every action under one menu, and roughly twice as many posters on the first screen. Posters keep their true shape on every phone. FASTER The app opens immediately instead of waiting on the network, and long lists scroll without stuttering. ALSO IN THIS VERSION • Watchlist and Seen now read in your language everywhere • Toasts and status colours redesigned to stay legible in both themes • Private lists no longer appear in the activity feed • Optional news emails, with one-tap unsubscribe • Clearer wording about what analytics collect and what deleting your account removes • Search results default to relevance, with no repeated titles as you scroll • Dozens of fixes across lists, sharing, favourites and streaming services
