About
Most training apps hand you a plan written weeks ago and expect your body to cooperate. Signa asks six quick questions each morning, then builds today's session around your answers.
HOW IT WORKS
Five questions — sleep, how rested you feel, soreness, stress, energy — produce a readiness score out of 100. That score decides the session: how long, how hard, and which movements. Score low and you get a real session that is smaller, not a lecture. Score high and it opens up.
SESSIONS BUILT FOR YOU
Every session says why it looks the way it does: a long run yesterday, a lift you keep swapping out, what's behind this week. Sore muscles get the day off, and areas you mark as tight get a warm-up drill and a stretch. Each exercise has a "How to do it" guide, with warm-up sets, an optional cool-down, new bests, and a progress chart for every lift.
TRAINING THAT FITS YOUR BODY
Tell Signa about an injury and it trains around it. Train seated, with one arm or leg, or with limited grip or balance, and every session is built from exercises you can do. Tell Signa an exercise bothered you and the whole movement family is left out until you say otherwise.
STRENGTH AND RUNNING IN ONE PLACE
Sessions are built from your equipment, your experience and the time you actually have. Every exercise can be swapped for another that trains the same pattern. Walks, jogs and runs are tracked with GPS and coloured by pace, with splits and elevation, and logged alongside the lifting so your training record is one record.
HEART RATE AND APPLE HEALTH
Connect a Bluetooth heart rate strap, or a watch that broadcasts heart rate, such as Garmin, Polar, Coros or Suunto, for live heart rate and zones on walks, jogs and runs.
Works with Apple Health. With your permission, Signa reads your resting heart rate and heart rate variability for morning readings, the heart rate your watch recorded during sessions you track in Signa, and the water and calories eaten that other apps save to Health. Signa only reads from Apple Health and never writes to it, and nothing it reads is used for advertising.
A MORNING READING
Your resting heart rate and HRV, from Apple Health, a strap or typed in, are read against YOUR baseline, never a population range. Signa won't interpret them until it has enough of your own history to know what normal looks like for you.
RECOVERY THAT ADMITS WHAT IT KNOWS
A recovery score from your training load, your sleep, your soreness and your morning reading. Every part is shown, and anything missing is named rather than quietly scored as zero.
WHAT IT WILL NOT DO
No invented numbers. No calorie estimate without your weight. No recovery score for someone who has never trained. Where Signa cannot know something, it says so instead of guessing convincingly.
Your GPS routes never leave your device. Neither does cycle data, if you use it. There is no advertising, and nothing you log is ever sold.
