About
Most maps show you where to go. This one shows you where to be still.
Silence Map is a personal atlas of quiet places — libraries, hidden gardens, medieval cloisters, riverside paths, Victorian glasshouses — documented and tested across London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cambridge, and Paris. Each spot comes with a full description, the best time to visit, a noise level rating, a note on weather suitability, and the history of the place itself.
Browse 26 verified quiet places filtered by type (library, park, courtyard, cemetery, chapel, waterside) or noise level. A single leaf means near-total silence. Five means pleasantly quiet with ambient sound. Find somewhere for this morning, or plan a visit for next season.
Save your favourites. Log your visits with a silence rating, mood, soundscape notes, and personal reflections. Track how many times you've returned somewhere and when.
A visual atlas grouped by city, with geographic coordinates and spot counts. A different way to see the collection — by place rather than type.
