i got this because my iphone mute is on the side. silent alert lets me doublecheck if muted or not. silent alert does that 👍🏼i don’t use the notifications option. not needed for what I use it for.

This app would be much more useful if the icon or something would visually let you know whether the notifications are silent or not. As the app is now, not very useful

I just purchased this today.
I wanted an alert when my mute button was on. Apple (as usual) shows no interest in fixing the lack. Bad Apple!
While SAP does not add a permanent icon or banner showing sound is off, a notification does pop up in the black space at top of my ip15 according the various conditions as described at app store.
For a single $3 price, this alone is a great bargain to me as I move in and out of meetings or when playing games.
The warning about battery drainage for GPS link is noted. I don’t really need that link feature. Hope I don’t find it necessary to delete because of it.

Perfect
My wife and i use this app on our phones and it works perfectly. I could never get a hold of my wife because she always has her phone set to mute. Now with the notification and the badge we always know when we are muted. Thanks to the creator of this app. Great job!
Essential app who's function should be in iOS
Simple but essential function to let you know on screen if your iPhone is muted. Also some extras like if you've left the area where you last muted your phone (useful to me when I mute in a meeting as it reminds me when I've gone away. Pity min distance is 1km but works for most of my meetings. GPS is getting better all the time so maybe 0.1km would be possible. )
Saved me missing many txt and voice calls by forgetting to un mute.
Apple say on screen icon in top notifications bar is not needed as you can turn phone round and see switch. However switch status is not that clear at best of times and especially if you have a RED iPhone! like me.

Successfully Tackled My Wayward Mute Control!!
My mute control kept setting itself to silent in my pocket leading to missed calls. This app has enabled me to override the physical control and set the the ringer status within the app. I needed a little support on how to best use the app and was delighted to receive this promptly by personalised email.
