I LOVE THIS APP
Me gusta muchisimo esta app, pero sería maravilloso que pudieran agregar lo siguiente: Algunas veces diseñamos nuestra plantilla y quizá olvidamos colocar el filtro y el glam. Es posible agregar la opción de mejorar la foto después del evento y que los cambios se guarden? Esto sería genial !
Hangs. Bad UX. Not possible to upgrade easily
Not worth the price. The app hangs occasionally. The interface is not easy to figure out. The one saving grace was the AI effects. However it stopped working halfway thru our event citing lack of credits. The worst part is that there’s no way to easily add credits. You have to jump thru an insane set of hoops to do it, which we couldn’t spend the time on during the image. So we had to toss it out.

Update Ruined My Presets
I used this app for a year and loved everything. The update took away a lot of the features the lite version use to have. Now I can’t use it for my family events . Very disappointed. I will look for other apps that work better and update this review with options that work better than this app.
Canot try without buying
Its a scam that they con you into downloading the app only to find out you cannot even look at the interface without subscribing. I even updated to iOS 26 just to make this garbage install. (Prob wrecked my old ipad with that ios update). Bait and switch cisco ith the "free download". Wasted 45 min of my time.

This used to be a great app but the recent update has taken away several options, including the option to add a logo. It seems much more difficult to navigate and they dont have a customer support number. I dont expect to hear back from them before my event, which is super frustrating. Unfortunately this will be my last time using this app. I would recommend using an app that is more user friendly.
Update: Im frustrated at the developer response.. their own customer service team acknowledged how many complaints they were getting regarding these updates. I stand by my original review. The app went from being user friendly to being incredibly difficult to figure out. Again, I DO NOT recommend using this app. There are plenty of other services out there you can use!

No trial
There isn’t a basic option or a three day trial or anything. I’m not paying for something not knowing what the quality is.
Don’t buy this!!
I spent hours HOURS trying to get my Nikon Z9 to connect to no avail. Did all the recommended setting and troubleshooting steps and nothing, this app is an enormous waste of time. Save yourself the trouble!

I have tried so many Photo Booth apps and I love this one the most. It just works!
Love this app
The new update is amazing! I can finally create any kind of layout with my own text and graphics. Great work Simple Booth! Just keeps getting better
Nikon DSLR
I hade to switch to Luma Booth since this app is only supporting Canon DSLR cameras. I have a Nikon D600/D610. Can’t use it with Simple booth Halo. I’ll come back to use if it supports my Nikon camera.

The new update actually added tons of new functionality! Nothing is taken away, it's just in a new place. To add a logo, open up the layout and add a new image layer. No longer works well
I’ve been using this app for over 5 years now. Unfortunately this latest update has made the app hard to navigate and doesn’t set up correctly from the settings done on the back end. Won’t let us take pictures horizontally anymore. Doesn’t let clients to opt out if they don’t want to share. I had to tear it down at our event as it was causing too much of a commotion for not performing well. Such a disappointment.

Settings wouldn’t save
Very disappointed in the app this time around. I used this app for my best friend’s baby shower a couple years ago and it worked fantastically. This time around I couldn’t get it to work properly at all. I set it up to take strips of three photos however, every time I tried to take a photo, it kept defaulting to a single. Also, despite ensuring the iPad was an appropriate distance away and the screen and test photo was clear, not a single photo we took actually came out clear. overall, I found the set up to be incredibly challenging this time around and none of my photos saved. It was a waste of $30 and memories lost.
Additionally may I suggest the save option default to saving onto the device or into the app. I had so much trouble setting up the app this time around that I didn’t notice neither were selected.

I’m giving this two stars because My daughter had a graduation and she recommended the simple Booth for our business. She set it up under her name. We use our business card to pay for it during her graduation. I decided to use it for other events and realized that all of our new pictures was under her account. I logged out of her account and I created my own account and when I made a payment that should be applied to my account it applied the subscription to her account even though I was not logged in under her account when I made the payment. It tells me that I have to login under her account if I want to use the subscription I just paid for and there’s no support ready ready to call to get it fixed . I did a chat and they said that they were responding, but I haven’t heard anything back yet. We want to use it for the business and we paid for a business plan. We are in crunch time trying to get ready for an event and cannot use the services that we paid for.

This app Is absolutely amazing
This app Is absolutely amazing, the only thing I would say would put the Cherry on cake and make this app the best in the business is DSLR compatibility and surface Pro compatibility! Maybe 1 day we will get the update of my dreams lol other than that 5 star app ! The team at simple booth did an incredible job!

Worst Photo Booth app ever
Don’t bother can’t customise it to your needs
Understand user experience before using this app
It works quite well, but I was not aware that photos would not be saved in ANY WAY unless the users complete the dialogue after the photo is taken. If they walk away without hitting done, the app considers it to be abandoned and it is not saved. I lost all the photos from my mom’s 70th birthday party and they cannot be recovered. If you use this app, consider having someone stationed by it to help users complete thr process.

Not navigation friendly
I created 4 different themes to use, but once inside one theme, no option to go to the others. Like no Home Screen or option to go back. I had to delete and reinstall to get to Home Screen.
Also the Core doesn’t allow you to change background color.
I will not be using this again.
Wasted my $16.99.
