About
Simple IQ Test is a short pattern-reasoning test. Twenty questions, one at a time, ten to fifteen minutes in total. It opens with a solved example of each question type, so working out the format is never part of the test.
Every question uses shapes and numbers, never words, so nothing depends on vocabulary or reading speed.
Four tests, matched to the taker
Pick elementary, middle school, high school, or adult. Each draws from its own difficulty range, so the questions fit the person taking them.
Different questions every time
The app holds 600 questions and draws a fresh twenty for each sitting, with the answers in a different order. Sitting it twice does not mean seeing the same test twice, so a score is not something that can be practised up by memorising where the answers were.
What you get at the end
- An estimated score on a 100-point-average scale, with the range it could plausibly sit in - twenty questions cannot pin a score down to a single number
- Where that score sits on a normal distribution
- How you did on patterns, sequences, and spatial questions separately
- A result card you can save or share
Where the questions come from
Every question was written for this app. No standardized test was copied or adapted. Inside the app, "About this test" explains exactly how your score is worked out — including what it cannot tell you.
Nothing to sign up for
No account. No advertising. No analytics. The app makes no network requests at all — your answers and results stay on your phone, and you can delete them at any time.
Honest about its limits
Scores close to what random answering would produce are reported as no estimate rather than as a low score, because the test genuinely cannot tell the two apart. "About this test" explains where the questions came from and how the score is worked out, including what no standardization study can back.
Please note
This test is for entertainment and self-reflection only. It is not a clinically validated psychological assessment. Your score comes from this app's own conversion scale, which was set by estimating question difficulty rather than by running a standardization study, so it is an estimate rather than a measurement. It should not be used to make decisions about education, employment, or health.
