Still a great app

I’m not sure why other people are complaining about the update — you can still use the old version if you go to settings.

The new version lets you do bidirectional conversions, and is a big step up.

I use this app all the time for training, it’s great!

Great app

The old version was a lot better but this one is ok.
I’ll still use it but wish I never updated to version.

Really loved the original app for it being so simple and easy to use. The new update made a great and useful app unintuitive and overcomplicated.

Was a good app but new update made it trash

It was the best app at calculating paces and converting between miles and kms; but, the new update added a ton of extra useless stuff. Now its messy, complicated, ugly and confusing. The one thing it was good for it wont do easily no more. If there were any app awards for WORST update you guys would win it in a heartbeat. I logged back into the app store just to review this trash that you came up with. Slow applause for the designer and dev team that took a great product and made it useless. Congrats!

I’m sorry you don’t like the updates, but thank you for the feedback. The original app was released over 10 years ago and was getting difficult to maintain. You should be able to do everything in the latest version, as easily or easier, than in the original. If there is anything specific I can do to make the new version better for the way you use the app, please send me feedback from within the app and I’d be happy to do what I can. BTW, it’s just me. No team. No corporate owners. I’m just a runner who is trying to make the best pace calculator, so any constructive feedback really does help.

I wish there were more apps like this out there. It’s simple and does exactly what I want. Does try to sell me anything else, doesn’t want access to my contacts. Perfect.

Lap times

Can no longer work out lap times (0.4km) as the time disappears when Changing to a distance <1

New update makes this less user friendly.

This was a really good app. You could select a load of different race distances or put your own in and easily find out your pace. The update has just made it confusing and really not intuitive to use.

I really like how simple this app is and works perfect for figuring out pace. I do enjoy this app

Lovely and simple

So many apps are ruined by feature bloat and over complication. Not this one! Super useful.

One slight frustration (as a European) is that it defaults units to miles after I close the app - I use KM. it’s very simple to switch back, but I do with it remembered my preference.

Doesn’t work for non Americans

If your decimal separator is a comma, the app doesn’t work since it doesn’t recognizes it when entering a distance (and the presented keyboard has only the comma key and not a dot)

Too simple

This app is great for calculating pace on longer distances, but I cannot get it to adjust for quarter miles or meters. You must know the fraction of a mile or kilometer for this to work(extra beer math in between intervals), and even then it won’t take “.25” miles...it will automatically switch to “.30” miles and calculate for the incorrect distance.

I’ve recently updated the app to show two decimal places for shorter distances. Note that if you enter two or more decimal places, it will use what you enter for the calculation, even though it rounds the display to fewer decimal places. Hope this helps some users!

Nice and simple app

Does exactly what it claims, a good app. For further improvements it would benefit from an adjustable font size as you have to scroll up to see speed, and whilst it doesn’t need it, a slider to change each value as an alternative to typing might be a nice feature :-)

First and ONLY time I’ll ever review an app

This app is brilliant. Does exactly what you want, is easy to use, is fast and accurate - it’s FREE and has NO ADVERTS. The developer said h made it in his spare time as a hobby. Well, thank you. It’s been a really useful tool and quite frankly, you really should be making some money out of it. No hesitations in giving 5 stars and I have never been bothered to write any reviews before. Thanks again.

The only review I have ever felt compelled to write. This app does just what it should and nothing else. My hats off to whatever humble genius is behind it :)
