No frills medition timer that does what it needs to
This is a straight forward timer. You can vary the time to the start of the meditation and the length of the meditation (to the minute). It keeps running in the background if you call up something else on your phone and you can see the display throughout the duration if you lent it alone. It has evolved over the years usefully (eg not runs well In the background). A glitch I had today was it was not playing thought my bluetooth - but that is unimportant. I value particularly the no frills approach. Thank you to the developers.

Just what I needed, no bells and whistles
I got tired of Insight Timer’s incessant efforts to sell me features and sessions I didn’t want. Zazen Timer is the antidote. Simple free timer with a nice bell sound and straightforward interface.

It’s amazing how hard it is to build something that seems as simple as a solid meditation timer. I’ve found bugs and limitations with the free ones I’ve tried. I expected for $3.99 that there’d be some additional functionality but it’s just a timer with a ring that can’t be adjusted - that is a huge shortcoming in my eyes considering that this is not a free app.

Man kann keine Timer mit verschiedenen Längen hintereinander erstellen, wie sie bei Zazen Sitzungen mit Kin Hin Gehmeditation dazwischen benötigt werden.
Nice and simple.
Good basic timer. The screen stays on the whole time. It would be nice if it was dimmed after a minute. Also having more options for the bell sound, like having three bells at the beginning and end.

Das sind 3,99€ die ich ausgegeben habe, ohne einen Mehrwert zu erhalten. Die Interval Benachrichtigung funktioniert nur, wenn man vorher die Töne des iPhones eingeschaltet hat. Das ist natürlich kontraproduktiv, weil so auch alle anderen Benachrichtigungen durchdringen.
Das lösen andere Apps deutlich besser, häufig sogar kostenlos.

Love it’s simplicity and utility
Simple and perfect for what I need it for. Great meditation timer! It’s also a handy interval timer , I used it to keep track of my mile pace at the end of a long running event : )

It is a good app. However the original chime I remember went longer and slowly tapered out. This chime is just a bit too quick to finish
