Simply Planned takes the thing you have been putting off and turns it into a
plan you can actually follow.
Answer a few questions and you get a plan built around your answers, not a
generic checklist someone else wrote.
THE SCHOOL YEAR, IN ONE PLACE
Term time runs on a calendar, not a to-do list, so this part of the app opens
on one.
• A family calendar that opens on today. Week and month are a tap away.
• Every child gets a colour, so a day reads at a glance instead of by reading
every name on it.
• Add something that clashes and it tells you before it is saved — including
when it falls during school hours, and when it is two children in two places
at once.
• Paste a text or an email from a coach and it reads out the event — date,
time, place. It is read on your phone; nothing is sent anywhere.
• A card for each child: their photo, their school and its hours, their
doctors, their documents, who to call when the school cannot reach you, and
what they have cost so far.
• Documents belong to the child, not to each place that asks. Photograph an
immunization record once and every club that needs it gets that same file.
• Share a child's card and choose exactly what goes. Everything starts unticked
except their name.
TASK LISTS WHEN YOU NEED ONE
A school year is not one run-up, it is a series of them. Pick the occasion —
back to school, a new season, exams, a break, the end of the year — and get a
short list for that, now. Old lists stay, with everything you ticked off.
WHAT IT ALL COSTS
• Photograph a receipt and the amount, the date and the shop fill themselves
in. It is read on your phone, not uploaded. Correct anything it misread.
• Where the money actually went, by child and by category.
• What the year should cost, built from what you have already entered.
• Export the lot to a spreadsheet.
EVERYTHING THEY ARE SIGNED UP FOR
Before and after care, sports, music and summer camps in one place. Contacts,
costs, seasons, coaches and the other team parents. Put a whole season of
sessions into your phone's calendar in one go.
ALSO FOR KIDS AND SCHOOL
• Back to school — a supply checklist by grade, from kindergarten to college.
• Activities, sports and camps — find what is near you and keep the dates.
EVERYTHING ELSE
Projects with a finish line, planned the same way: starting a business,
renovating, a deep clean or clear-out, a garage sale. A week-by-week timeline,
a shopping list, reminders, and local resources looked up for your area.
YOUR FAMILY'S DETAILS STAY ON YOUR PHONE
Nothing on a child's card is uploaded. Names, schools, doctors, photos,
receipts and documents are written to private storage on your device and never
reach us — we cannot read them, because we never hold them. When you send a
child's details to a coach or a school, it goes from your own mail app.
That is deliberate. This is children's school and medical paperwork, and we
would rather not be responsible for storing it.
HOW IT WORKS
• Quick List is free and needs no account.
• Full Plan is a one-time purchase that opens one complete plan.
• Premium is a subscription, monthly or yearly, for unlimited plans. The school
year is sold this way, with a free trial first.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the
period ends, and are managed in your Apple ID settings. You can delete your
account from inside the app at any time.
