About

How much water you drank, and how much alcohol. Sipling keeps both in one place, because seeing them together is what makes it stick. WHY WATER TOO Deciding not to drink today is hard. Deciding to have one more glass of water is usually something you can do today. Cutting back is difficult; adding is not. That is why Sipling watches water alongside alcohol. Alcohol counts as fluid too, but the stronger the drink, the less it counts. That is in the maths, so you can see how much of today's fluid came from alcohol. GENTLE, BECAUSE GENTLE LASTS Being told off on a short day will not keep you coming back. And if you do not come back, nothing about your body changes. So Sipling looks at the weather and at how your day is going, and says one thing. It never quietly rewrites your goals. A LETTER, ONCE A WEEK The first time you open the app in a new week, the great tree tells you how last week went. Days you reached your fluid goal, days without alcohol, pure alcohol for the week — each one set beside the week before. There is no score, and it never says "well done." A fact is not a judgement. ONE TAP FROM THE HOME SCREEN Put a widget on your Home Screen and log a drink without opening the app. Choose which eight drinks appear, and at which size. Your day shows as two rings. WHAT WE DO NOT DO - No account required. Sign in only if you want your groups on a new phone - No name, no phone number - No ads and no tracking. No cookies - What you drank, and when, never leaves your phone - Free to use Records sync through your own private iCloud, so they survive deleting the app and follow you to a new phone. Everything you log is written to Apple Health as water, alcoholic beverages and caffeine, if you turn that on. sip + sapling = Sipling. Every sip grows the sapling on your screen. And the tree it grows into is the one that writes to you on Mondays.
