Siteswap Explorer animates juggling patterns using siteswap notation, which is a method some jugglers like to use to represent patterns using numbers. The app is all about using siteswap rules to explore other patterns by manipulating the numbers. Instead of typing stuff in or picking from a list of patterns, you just press buttons to manipulate each siteswap. You only get buttons that will work for the current pattern. Each tap produces another pattern and you get an animation of the result. There's no wrong answer, so you can just tap around whether you understand the theory or not!
