unable to purchase premium (fixed)
i’m trying to purchase the premium version but whenever i click on it, it crashes and i’m unable to purchase. despite the problem, this app makes learning the night sky easy and fun, and i’d love to access more with premium.

Very effective
I love astronomy and this app helped me learn more about space and constellations ,it’s just a bit annoying because you have to pay 5€ to get some things .Overall it is a good app
Awesome but the purchases....
I learned all the constellations possible, but it's tough that they charge $5 for more. Please change this and I have an astronomy unit in science coming up. Please remove the payment. But five stars for the memorizing!!!

Learning that makes sense
At first, I didn’t think this app was really teaching me anything more than how to recognize a few patterns with the assistance of borders and lines, but after getting through some of the beginner lessons, I see the patterns are starting to burn in. The lines and borders start to go away the higher the difficulty. I also like being able to simulate my light polluted sky and see the same challenges with fewer stars. Absolutely the best tool for any hobbyist looking to try astronomy.

I have gone down the Astronomy rabbit hole. I was looking for something to quiz and teach me the constellations and stars and this app is great!! There is no app better at teaching you the constellations and their locations. Thanks to the developers. I love that I can make my own custom quizzes.

Seriously an amazing app and a must have for anyone who’d like to learn to identify the stars and constellations.
I’m surprised not more people have been talking about it!
This app teaches you by presenting bite sized pieces. It shows you 3 constellations at a time, then when you’re ready, it gives you a multiple choice quiz to test your memory. I love that you can zoom in or out to help orient yourself. After this you’re shown the next 3, and do another quiz, and so on until all 88 constellations are done.
The app splits the constellations into 3 categories, northern, equatorial and southern. There are 3 difficulty levels, with easiest showing the lines between stars, medium showing the lines of nearby constellations, and hard showing a “real sky” view without lines.
You’re given many settings to toggle such as grid lines, brightness, contrast, sound effects.
There’s an annoying glitch during the quiz. If you pinch the screen to zoom, and accidentally swipe the left edge of the screen, the sky goes black for the next 2-3 questions, which causes incorrect answers. Whenever this happens I just exit the quiz back to the Home Screen and restart the quiz. Hopefully this is fixed in the next update.

I’ve been looking for an app exactly like this for years!! And I’m obsessed, such a great way to learn the constellations and I wasted no time in buying the expansions because I know they’ll come in handy!
Just what I was looking for!
Recently gotten into backyard astronomy and this is perfect for memorizing the constellations. Kinda wish there was a mode that highlights how they all connect, but this is super solid.

I’ve learnt some much in such a short amount of time really helpful and there’s so many levels from easy to hard. Really recommend this app to anymore interested in astronomy
Price Hike
literally the second i was about to purchase the upgrade for this app, it went from $3.99 to $5.49, and i only had it for less than a day. what’s up with that? yes, it says in the app that in the future it may cost more due to certain added features, but no such features were shown to be added. i will say this however, as soon as i got that popup to rate it, i rated it 5 stars. and it was shortly after that the price went up. to the developer, if you reduce the price back to $3.99, i will splurge and pay that amount. are we cool? i mean, $3.99 is better than nothing, right? think about it.

Very fun and effective
I’m a university senior majoring in astronomy and physics and decided to download this to learn the constellations while waiting for clouds to clear while taking data. I’ve been playing it a bit each day for a little while since then and absolutely love it. It has been very effective in teaching me the constellations (just about done with the northern hemisphere) and it is super relaxing. The app is also very well polished, with a ton of good settings to configure.
Also, I know most people might not care, but THANK YOU FOR LISTING SPECTRAL TYPE FOR THE STARS!!!!! And also visual magnitude, and parallax, and color index, and MULTIPLE catalogue names?? It’s as if this were literally made for me.
The one thing I’d love to see added is an option to display the constellation lines as drawn by H.A. Rey in his book “The Stars: A New Way to See Them.” Those are the lines the professors here tend to prefer. The standard IAU lines are fine (and definitely the “official” lines, and a good default) but Rey’s are more fun in my opinion.
Overall, fantastic app, and astronomy researcher approved!!
