Skylight: Weather & Radar

SKYLIGHT 5.0 — THE FORECASTER'S CUT READ THE FORECASTER'S MIND Every weather app hands you a number. Skylight now hands you the person behind it. Open Discussion and read what the meteorologist on shift at your local Weather Service office actually wrote this morning — which model they're trusting today, what they're watching, and where they'll admit they just don't know yet. Real lines, like "lots of uncertainty remains in the weekend forecast." Not summarised. Not paraphrased. Not rewritten. Their words, their office, the minute they filed it. (US locations.) BUILT FOR iPHONE DUO Unfold your iPhone Duo and Skylight opens as a two-page spread — today on the left, what's coming on the right. Your iPad gets the same treatment. Fold it shut and the cover display becomes the Cover Brief: the temperature, the rain window, the next few hours. Everything you need before you've even opened the phone. Stand it half-open on your desk and it turns into Tabletop — a weather station you can read from across the kitchen. ALSO LANDING • Next Hour stays live — no more going blank halfway through the hour • One missing minute no longer takes the whole forecast down with it • Cards come to rest above the nav bar instead of hiding behind it • Crisper text on narrow screens • Your Duo lands on the right layout every time — folded, half-open or wide Our biggest release yet. Now go look at the sky.
