waste of time
i am using direct connect between my ipad and skytrak plus. ipad, iphone just cannot detect the skytrak wifi signal 95% of the time. this results in me cancelling my sessions more than often, this is very frustrating. never getting this device again.
Not bad
Had SKYTRAK for a few years now and overall it’s ok, unfortunately the course play is frustrating, doesn’t pick up short game shots from bunkers etc, anything with open club face or slow shots won’t register so it makes it impossible to finish playing a hole. Very inconsistent on picking up driver as well. Needs to be sorted otherwise it’s pointless playing. The range is ok and they have some great ranges to use

I have an older iPad which doesn’t have the RAM for the full SKYTRAK app which means I don’t bother with course play. But this app works amazingly well for me as a slimed down version. I use it with my SKYTRAK plus.
I have the essentials package which is good value and this app has a basic driving range with moveable greens/fairways. It has great wedge matrix and practice features, bag mapping, target games etc
Most importantly it has all of the club swing and path data etc so it’s amazing for practicing.
It’s mega quick to startup up and connect to iPad, which is ideal for me in practice net on lunch breaks.
I love it and can see the results in my game👌🏌️♂️

Awful app
App never stays connected in network mode or direct. Absolutely unusable and the company should be ashamed to have this out there.
Freezes after about 5 shots
If you like glitchy software then this is the app for you! It’s decent eleven it works but I often find it will work for a short period until it freezes and then I must restart the app and my SkyTrak. Disappointing.
Insufficient RAM
It’s amazing, I have a iPhone 14 Plus. My memory is 3071MB. Skytrak practice range requires 3072MB. 1MB short! I can’t believe the developers of this app have not checked with modern device capabilities. And let’s be clear. My user need is to know the numbers. I’d rather be able to use the app than have fancy sky scapes behind the driving range.

Glitchy; slow
I have the original SkyTrak, and was happy with it. Then Golftek took over, and now only the “Lite” version of the software is available without premium subscription or new hardware. The Lite version is much slower responding to shots (often 10 seconds), or freezes/doesn’t display shots despite the hardware unit indicating it is ready after the previous shot. Requires re-start of software. No way I’d upgrade after this experience.

It shows 325yards but it doesn’t work. Why is this happening?
No longer works on iPad 5th gen
Won’t hold a connection with the device and constantly crashes when you try to exit a menu item. Please fix this as these devices are not cheap to replace.
Always signs you out
Some of the data from the app is excellent. But the app insists on signing you out after a day or so. This is infuriating especially when using direct network connection. Why sign me out? I don’t have a premium plan. There’s nothing I gain. Check once a month? Check when I am online? Assume it’s all ok.

Skytrak is a joke
My launch monitor loses connection every single time i use it. Sometimes i will get like 5 misreads in a row and then just msgicslly work again. Dont waste your money on this garbage

I've had a great experience with this app using skytrak+. I'm not sure why there are so many low reviews. The iPhone app gives the same reads as the laptop application, which is a huge convenience if taking this to the range. All the game improvement and virtual range and practice features are top notch. Tracks all the key data and saves all session data history. Highly recommend.

Customer service is atrocious
Code given to me for E6 hasn’t worked for two weeks. ST will happily collect your money but when you ask for them to sort this issue out, no response.

Awful connectivity
You’ll spend more time trying to get this app to connect than swinging a club. Even once connected, the launch tracker only picks up half your swings.

horrible customer service and app stops working every other day. I’ve been on endless calls with their “team” and and their pointless. Complete waste of money
My Skytrak stopped working.
I took very good care of my SkyTrak always keeping it in a protective case and always keeping it indoors. Now it may read 1 out of 10 swings even after several reboots. I only use it for the driving range but now it is useless after about a year of use. For the price I would have expected better. Really wanted this for my daughter to hone in on her game as collegiate athlete on a golf scholarship. #frustrated.

Worst system
Imagine spending 4k on a product and their software is so garbage, keeps crashing not letting you connect to network in order to mandatory register your product to use. Bringing it back for a refund.
Let’s hope Golftec can drag SkyTrak out of 2006
Aside from the physical launch monitor, every piece of software created by skytrak including every user experience has been awful. Like whoever had the vision for the company was 80.
