WARNING *SECURITY RISK*

Today when I opened the app to check one of my camera’s, Apple’s new security feature warned me that the app was trying to retrieve the text I had copied to my clipboard. The last thing I copied was a password I needed for another purpose.

In previous iOS versions there were no warning of this, so rogue app owners could steal your information without your knowledge. Fortunately that is no longer the case.

There is no legit reason *at all* why the app would want to retrieve the last text anyone copied.

It is a huge breach of trust and I would not be surprised if the manufacturer is also enjoying access to people’s camera feeds.

Huge red flag 🚩

App Stealing Passwords

This app is copying the contents of the clipboard every time it’s opened. Anything you’ve copied is transmitted thru the app. Passwords, risky photos, and personal information may all be compromised in this fashion.
