What's New in Slate Workout Tracker Gym Log

1.7.0

June 23, 2026

Introducing Coach, your AI personal trainer. The more you train and talk to it, the smarter it gets. Ask it to build you a program, or ask it anything about your training: "What weight should I do today?" "Why is my bench stuck?" "How can I improve my side delts?" Also new in 1.7.0: • Smarter AI workouts that do a better job hitting your chosen session length. • Drag and drop exercises during a workout to reorder them or build supersets. • Rebuilt rest and interval timers, plus custom rest times for any exercise. • Share straight to Instagram from your post-workout share card. • History now lives in the Train tab. Swipe to the History segment to see everything you've logged. • Body weight, measurements, injuries, and equipment moved to the ⋯ menu at the top of Train. • Plenty of UI polish and bug fixes. As always, send us feedback right in the app. We read every message, feature requests included. And if Slate is helping your training, please leave us a review. It genuinely helps.

Great app

It offers so much more than I expected. It gives great customize options. It also has you record how hard the set was. And offers a diagram of how hard each muscle was hit. You can also have the app create workouts for you. Which I didn’t try, but I’m sure it’s great.

Perfect for me

I’m new to weight lifting and this has been great at generating programs based on my abilities, time commitment, and I love the fact it has injury awareness for the AI generation. I haven’t seen that in any other apps.

Love it!

Finally found what I was looking for! I tried every workout tracker on the market and this is by far the easiest to use. I’ve always been frustrated with the confusing ui’s of literally every other tracker on the market. There’s no over the top cartoonish animations and it just does what it incredibly well. Love the ai voice features and injury aware workout generation. Very happy I found this.

Better than Hevy!

I’ve been using Hevy for years and found it confusing to navigate. Slate is so user friendly and has so many features! I absolutely love that I can speak to it and have it build me a workout with the use of ai! I don’t have to think about it and it keeps my workouts from becoming repetitive and mundane!
