1 Star only because it costs money when it used to be free. A great app though, I am a coach and use it to record game and practice video at a good resolution with respect to size/clarity. Much better than a camcorder
Needs to save previous resolution choice.
If it would’ve my last choice of resolution I’d pay for the app upgrade.

Another added benefit is that when recording at low quality it’s a bit zoomed out instead of in, so you can record a persons whole body for dance figures etc. 🪱🍎One downside is that the miraculous image stabilization built into the iPhone doesn’t work outside of apple’s native apps. But that is likely an apple problem, and not the fault of this developer… 🤨 It just makes you think about whether you really own the device that you bought, if the manufacturer and owner of the app store can prevent competing apps from accessing the miraculous image stabilization built into your device. We do indeed live in a society. 🤪

Better than iOS default camera app
I have been using this app for years to record videos mainly due to it having many advantages over the default app such as more flexibility in resolutions, pause recording, and a recording time remaining display. What has been most beneficial though is the continuous auto focus. Having to constantly touch the screen to get it to focus on what I wanted was giving me a headache, and this app solved that issue. The only downside is that the video cuts out when the low battery warning comes on but it’s no biggie.

Virtually my MOST used & go-to app for capturing video!
I LOVE that it lets you capture video in a standard definition with lower bitrate.
It matches identically with what an old school
Camcorder would capture around 2000.
Or in other words it’s able to produce what pretty much is a VHS tape 📼 with it set to
‘SP’ and my iPhone being 119gb
That’s like… a whole 2 rows of tapes on a shelf’s worth.
It lets you capture a butt f***n TON of footage that all looks just as good as it rightfully needs to look.
There’s like.. nothing that should need
4K HD resolution image quality..
It’s just a waste.
Waste of space.
Waste of resources.
A standard DVD-Video 📀 disc was/is the perfect standard for all storage/ video playback purposes.
If I pop in a movie to watch on DVD..
No one would even notice or care
Unless you were somehow presenting to a BIG audience but who’s gonna have over 10 people to watch the same screen?
THIS APP .. fixes & fills in what my iPhone 6s camera original app lacks.
Apart from SD quality capture/ low file sizes..
I can actually ‘pinch’ zoom in / out on the selfie camera mode.
(Can’t with the original app)
Then (just like an actual camcorder)
You can hit a pause button ⏸ that turns into a ▶️ button until you press it to resume recording.
It also I noticed stores it as a ‘slightly’ different sorta file format than the original app does with videos.
Yeah, I just checked, it saved them as .mov
Instead of .mp4
Which for some reason is handier and plays back on ANY device.
So TWO thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻

What a great app. It allows you to record videos in various bitrates including 720p and you can get a ten minute video at h see 300mb. This is great and something that the native iPhone camera doesn’t allow. I am super happy to pay for this one.

For the people who actually need an app to record low res video, I promise you guys, I tried all of them. This one is the best.
I would like to suggest to the developer that if the app remembers the last used camera (front or back) on opening, this would be awesome. Most of us use such a niche app for 1 task only, and most of the time, this task should use the same camera. So having it defaulted to the back camera on every opening is kind of a 1 click / 1 more second that adds up in user experience. Hope you guys welcome my suggestion.
Also, a 240p option would be a pretty cool bonus.

Uploads Don’t Work
The recording aspect of this app works fine but none of the transfer/upload features are functional (Dropbox, drive, save to files, airdrop etc). This unfortunately renders the app useless and as the last developer update was 9 months ago it seems unlikely to be fixed soon.

Easy to use. It’s recordings are true and strong in photographic accuracy.
