Only works on home wi-fi.
Okay so, I bought this camera at an auction, and decided to use it to monitor my birds while im away from home, but the thing is, the stupid thing doesn’t work when you aren’t connected to the same internet as it, which makes it practically USELESS to be used as a nanny cam, security cam, or anything else when you aren’t home. Other than that, the camera quality is surprisingly really well, little to no delay, but night vision does NOT work well AT ALL.

Works well if you don’t plan monitoring outside of the house, but otherwise needs WiFi and you must be connected to the same one as it for it to work which defeats the whole purpose of the camera.

Cuando logre conectarla, me decía pass erróneo, y nunca pude ver lo que ve la cámara. La reseteé y todo, intente de mil formas y nada.

This app is so bad why do people use it it just wants to get in to ur WiFi why does a recording app even need WiFi

Can't connect to network
I have been trying for two days now to get these cameras to connect to my network. I am following the very vague directions and nothing. Yes I am on a 2.4ghz connection for these. And nada... some help please or these will be lonely on the menards shelf again

Poor App
The camera is great and the microphone is clear. The video quality is surprisingly great both in regular lighting and dim lighting. However the app is terrible for me. I have an iPhone 6s and whenever I exit the app and go back on it the video says live but it's stuck on a blank picture of a grey camera clip art. Also happens whenever I try to view in HD. Also all my recordings in the album are deleted and I don't receive any motion alerts. I've restarted the camera 4 times already and it happens each time. Sadly I'll have to return it since there's no use in having a camera that I can only watch the feed once until I exit the app then never see footage again.

I bought this wifi camera at local Menards store. I liked some parts but some parts I don't like. The one I liked the camera and the smartcam pro app, also the wifi connection. But the other I didn't like, there is no any option to delete the history one by one, I mean the selected ones. I wish if this developer listen me please add a swipe option to delete the history saved in SD card. For me I don't want to delete everything I may keep some of them. But this app doesn't give me that kind of option. The only thing giving me to delete all history from SD card thats all. The other thing wished to see automatically to save the history in one of my cloud storage but this app doesn't have any options. So because of these things I'll be return it soon. Yeah its $69.99. But if I see updates I'll keep it and I'll post new review again, may be to give you a big 5 stars. :)

Menards, southern telecom and Emerson listen up
I purchased the Emerson EVC 510 through Menards. Set up feels every time. I tried a second camera. Same result. I called customer support. They admit lots of problems with this and suggest I wait 1 to 2 weeks for an app update which they hope will fix this issue. They do not want me to return it to the store. They are selling something before they have it working and fully developed. I am very disappointed. I want my money and time back!

If I could give this app zero stars I would. First they said the app was not working, then the app was fixed. I tried today to get 2 iPhones to connect only one would at first. I called cust service and got "Todd" who could barely speak English and he wasn't able to fully understand my problem. And wanted me to just delete the app and call back if that didn't work. I'm beginning to think menards just sells junk and these cameras definitely were not worth the money. I'm just going to take these back, waiting for 2 weeks for an app to be fixed and they are still working on it???? is ridiculous. THESE ARE JUNK!

Easy install but performance is ok
Super easy install but sometimes the audio doesn't work and the image is black and white. Inexpensive camera so you get what you pay for.
