Doesn’t even work properly
This is by far the most frustrating app I’ve probably ever used to the point where I’m actually leaving a review. Worked great for the first couple hours then it just half works constantly not connecting to the light bulbs . Super over complicated way to group them under one control . Then out of nowhere the controls just stop working. This app is an absolute joke . JUST GIVE ME APPLE HOME ACESS your app is grabage and you have the audacity to charge money for it on top of that . I just want to control my lights it should NOT BE THIS COMPLICATED

I downloaded Smart-Life but every time I open it, I pop-up tells me I have to update another app called home. When I chatted for help after three non-helpful responses I was told to continue I needed to pay money. what a scam.

Screen turning off the wrong plug
Been using this app a couple of years now. All of a sudden, it decided that when I tap on a button to turn off a device, it will turn off a random one somewhere else on the screen. Couldn’t find a way to contact Support on this.
Keeps crashing
The app was working and now it will not even open. Fix it. I have several things on it.
Frequent crashes
The app crashes all the time, so I’m in the freaking dark 🤦🏻♀️ thank God I retained the remoter of some of my house lamps and some have an actual button 🤦🏻♀️ I hate the stupid apps I can’t even have light in my house without it 🤦🏻♀️
Vevor 7 in 1 weather station
Using this app for the vevor weather station only gives the current day’s rainfall. It would-be nice if you could access all the info from the weather station console such as cumulative totals.

AI ruined this app
This app used to work perfectly, but then, like so many companies, they needlessly added AI. Now the user interface is cluttered and aggravating to use. All I wanted was to turn my lights on and off and change colors, so I bought lightbulbs that don’t require an app, AI, or wi-fi.

Too slow
This app is too slow to open. Even when it is open it is slow to refresh.
New ads for old users
I’ve used SmartLife for easily 4 years now and up until the most recent update have had no complaints. Most recently however, ads have been brought to the app and are frustrating and annoying to deal with. I think there should have been consideration for users that have been using the app for years now to be grandfathered into an adless version.

Intrusive ads
App was working fine until last update, then I started getting constant ads at the bottom of the home page. And you can’t turn them off. The Insoma water timer device I use requires the SmartLife app - I tried the Tuya app as well, and it’s the same. If the device I use requires a specific app, why am I being forced to receive ads? Stop it with the ads. Will never purchase another Insoma product. Deleting SmartLife and getting another device.

I bought a baby monitor and it uses this app as a safety need you need to have notifications to keep track of your baby this is the worst app ever and have never had to pay for notifications on any app this is terrible service
