The brief interruption is intentionally placed at that moment to create a small pause and bring awareness back before the habit continues. We aim for a balance where the experience is noticeable enough to make you stop, but not disruptive enough to push you away. Long term impact depends on consistency, seeing the interruption at the same point in the loop over time.

You’re totally right that paying for an app while TikTok feels “free” is a hard sell, especially for something that’s meant to replace doomscrolling with something better. We genuinely valued your recommendation and we actually made changes because of it. Smart Scroll is now free to use. Instead of forcing a subscription or throwing ads into the experience, we added a daily limit. We wanted it to stay clean and enjoyable, because nobody likes ads and we don’t either.
