Not worth it
I had hoped that paying for an sms spam stopper would get me a good product. I’ve been using it for a couple of months. Half of the messages in the filtered folder are not spam, and tons of spam does not get filtered.

I get all texts I need, whatever the last reviewer did is user error, must have added words to the block area without realizing.
It blocks almost everything (for better or worse)
The heuristic detection is a marketing gimmick. It uses a simple word list. As a result, it blocks loads of texts—including most of the texts from restaurants, dentists, banks, etc) that I’d like to get.
Ripoff
This app is labeled as working on my iPad in the App Store; however, there is no way to enable this app in the Messages settings of a 2018 iPad Pro. I reached out to the developer for assistance. They responded with copy-pasted instructions on how to get a refund which do not work. Now I’m out the cost of the app. Buyer beware.

Love this app!
I’ve been using this app for years and I love it. It works!!! You can tell it what words to filter into a spam text folder and it’s easy to delete the trash and not have to be constantly interrupted with dumb phishing attempts, political begging and scammers. Five stars all the way, and worth every penny. I appreciate that the developer isn’t in it to siphon off my data, too. Thanks SMS Spam Stopper!

Doesn’t filter
Hi just purchased the soft for filter spam sms from phone not listed on my contact. I add the number to block list and isn’t stopped the sms from unwanted caller. Have ios 16.3 Will ask refund

Incredible. This app really works.
I’m blown away by how well this app works. After installing it, I spent a few minutes adding words to the blocked list based upon words in the spam texts I was receiving most often (usually political). Since downloading the app several months ago, I’ve only received 2 spam texts! The ability to customize and backup the spam filter is a total game changer. Thank you for this app!

My new hero.
I was so stinking frustrated by the constant spam. It was making me furious and there was no way to stop it. I installed this app and they disappeared. Frankly it worked so well that I didn’t know for sure it was doing anything, I thought maybe there had been some other solution that finally got me off the irritating political spam list. I just looked today at the new iOS junk folder feature. This app had taken care of 70 spam texts in the last couple weeks. Amazing. SO worth it.

Finally! Create your own blocklist for keywords
I sometimes get 8-10 spam texts a day. This app has allowed me to go an entire 24 hours without even one spam text bothering me. Nothing else I’ve tried- not Malwarebytes, not Robokiller- has been able to deliver on their promise to eliminate spam. This does!
I just took a peek in the junk folder and there they all are- trying to get me to click on sketchy links, selling nonsense, begging for my vote. Whereas once these unwanted messages harassed me day and night, now they silently self-segregate into a junk folder, not bothering me, thanks to this perfect app.
Well worth the tiny price. The people complaining about the app not working properly didn’t follow the simple setup instructions. You just give the app permission to filter text from unknown numbers, that’s it.
When you install the app and click to open, it shows you two minute-long tutorial videos for how to quickly and easily optimize your settings. Seamless. Thanks so much to the developer!

IT JUST WORKS👍🏾💯😁
I had been receiving annoying text messages from all types of illicit places and it was driving me crazy. It’s one thing to receive those type of messages when you frequent certain sites but when you don’t it’s down right infuriating. After going to my carrier(Verizon) and the Apple store with NO HELPFUL SOLUTION I found this app from a YouTube video. They tell you up front that it’s not free but the fee is very affordable and ONE TIME ONLY not a “rip off” subscription. Once you go in and add some target words NOTHING and I do mean NOTHING gets through. This is the BEST SPAM STOPPER EVER..!!! Thank you so much to the team that developed this app. I waited a couple of months to give a review bc I wanted it to be fair and honest.

When you enable this product in message filtering, a pop up message on your phone warns you that the developer of the app will receive the “text, attachments, and sender information in SMS and MMS messages from senders not in your Contacts. Messages may include personal or sensitive information like bank verification codes.”
That was not disclosed prior to purchase.
I don’t want anything forwarded to the developer from my phone period.

No, as already mentioned under “App Privacy” section on the App Store, the app does not collect any text data. This information is displayed on the App’s page prior to purchasing the application. The pop up message that you mentioned is a default message displayed by iOS when you enable any sms based extensions from iOS settings. This is a generic message from iOS to warn you against any illegitimate applications that you might be enabling. In order to filter and identify Spam sms, the application needs to receive sms so that it could identify the sender and find any spam keywords in the sms and identify whether the text message is Spam or not. This does not indicate that the application collects text data. If the application does not process sms, how will it identify whether it is a Spam sms or a legitimate sms ? We also have a very clear privacy policy that is written on the Home Page of the application. The privacy policy tells that all text messages are processed locally and they never go outside your phone. Moreover, the application does not even have access to internet. NO, we DO NOT get any of your messages. This is a paid application with focus on privacy for our users. We have many satisfied users who are using the application and are happy from its performance. Fantastic product an example of exemplary customer service
I have been getting so many texts from political organizations that I never even heard of lots scams about buying property lots of stuff that only takes time and junks up my iPhone. I was looking for an app that would help me cut down on all this text spam that’s coming through it seems that our government and the phone companies don’t wanna do anything to help us. All the spam seems to just get worse as time goes by. I tried this app and I have to admit I’m very impressed with it, if something gets through I could take a few of the words of choice words that was used to get my attention and add it to the list so I can’t happen again. I had some issues that had nothing to do with the app but my phone settings the customer service has been the best I’ve ever seen. usually I would hear back within five minutes. They really take an interest in helping their customers. For the three dollars I spent on this app as well worth every penny of it. I highly recommend it.

The most flexible, easy to use Spam Stopper
This App works really well. It will allow you to whitelist your contacts and add words to white lists and blacklists.
It doesn’t work, don’t waste your money!!
I activated the “block all unknown sms’s” button but still, I received all the spam messages. I feel sorry for the 3 dollars I wasted on this app!!!

The app works! It not only does what it says it should do, it does it well. But that’s not all. Support for this app has been better than any other I’ve had over the past 10 years I’ve been using an iPhone. Note that my reasons for contacting support were not for problems with the app, but rather questions about the app’s capabilities as well as requesting potential enhancements or upgrades.
I am not only grateful for what this app has done to reduce my SMS spam, I’m glad I’m using an app that is being overseen by those that would listen to users and continue to work to make it even better.

Works As Advertised
I was getting spam text everyday. I read that this app could block anyone not in your contact list if you want. So I decided to give it a try. It works great!

blocked word "Jo" , and others I have added, coming through filter. getting more spam now than before I PAID for this app. (not going to the spam folder this app created). Fix it, please.
The One and Only!
This app is awesome! I suddenly started to get bombarded by SMS spam daily and I was desperate for a solution. This app does the trick! You can fine tune a ton of settings to block and allow exactly what you want. The developer is really responsive to feedback as well! As an added bonus there’s no subscription model crap. You pay 3 bucks once and it’s yours for life. Highly recommended!

Works like a charm
I tried multiple SMS blockers that claimed to work and had no success. This is the first one that actually blocked an unknown text message. I had to add all of my verification code phone numbers as a company contact to allow them to go to receive notifications for them. I will have to add more as I go along. I was tired of the SPAM and would rather add unknown numbers to my contacts.
