Terrible app

I specifically bought a Nikon P950 since I’d had great results with a previous Coolpix. I was supposed to be able to download pictures with this app. It’s worked for me twice. Out of ten attempts. I get so mad my wife makes me put the camera down. Lousy instructions to boot.

Hard to believe it's from Nikon

This is easily the most frustrating app I have ever downloaded. I had problems connecting it with my Nikon P 1100. It would work fine for a few days and then just all of a sudden not connect. I tried everything looked everywhere just when I would think I had a solution that would do it again. Well today I took delivery of my new Nikon Z8 and I thought well this is the top line camera surely Nikon will have this app working with it! No same difficulties connected once downloaded some photos could never connect again deleted the app reloaded deleted the Bluetooth connection reloaded. I give up this time I deleted the app for good would be nice to have an easy connection to the smartphone to email photos but this isn't worth the aggravation.

Terrible.

The least user friendly app in history. It never worked the same way twice until it did’t work at all. Has major connection issues defeating the entire purpose of the app.

Buggy, strips metadata

Buggy, slow, and strips the metadata like shutter count for no reason. I don't understand why Nikon makes it so difficult to view/transfer files.

It never works

This is probably the worst app on my phone. I have a P950 and have nothing but issues connecting it. When I first got the camera two years ago it connected fine, but now I have to disconnect the camera, reset all the network settings, reconnect everything and then maybe it will work. I don’t understand why Nikon doesn’t fix this. It makes transferring photos directly to your phone impossible. If you are looking for that feature, don’t count on using this app, it’s complete garbage.

Complicated

Not, at all, intuitive

Bluetooth connection and App front difficult and troublesome

The font is microscopic and the connection to iPhone or iPad is piss poor. I have repeated all the steps in the manual and on the Video tutorial from Nikon a dozen times and only get a small amount of the photos on the camera, like 8%.

Constantly disconnecting

When the app works it is amazing. Instant feedback to your phone to review and adjust setting on a larger more user friendly screen than looking on the smaller camera screen.

The more time than not that it isn’t working, it’s about as useful as a bag full of dicks.

17 Pro Max compatibility

This app used to work fine when I had an older iPhone. With my new 17 Pro Max, it’s very glitchy and not consistently downloading pictures. Please work on improving this

Great pics but tricky connecting go camera from phone via wifi or bluetooth.

It worked very well the first time but every time i tried to connect the two devices after that the connection failed and it indicated the camera was already pairs with another device (it was not). Failed to link multiple times.

Terrible for P1100

I’d give it 0 if that was possible. I have used Canon’s, OM’s and Fuji’s apps for downloading to my IPad in the field and they are great. This Nikon app is pathetic. It’s a good thing I like my P1100…..come on Nikon get your act together and fix this software!!

grainy photos

i got the app and it connected to my camera just fine, but when the photos appeared on my device they were all grainy despite being 6000x4000px :(

D5300

No d5300 Bad app. Only new camera. 👎

Does this app work for anyone

It takes 20 thousand years and disconnecting and reconnecting the camera and turning on and off my phone for 50 times to get 25 pics to upload. I’m never investing in Nikon again

Annoying

This app is like a virus. It keeps grabbing control of the phone in the hours it takes to download 4 photos.

Can’t connect

Can’t get z9 to connect to iPhone 16 via Bluetooth

Trash

Can’t connect to z5ii with Bluetooth, used WiFi and it’s just as bad

Please add D5500

Why don’t you add D5500 like what you did in Android version?!
And why the application must have models list, isn’t it better to have an automatic detection mechanism?
The application needs to connect with WiFi. Why the model is needed?!☹️

Great When it Works

I love automatic transfer of photos to my iOS device. HOWEVER, establishing the connection can be infuriating and my Z8 does not appear to like connecting with more than one device. Great feature that can be significantly improved.
