STOP RELYING ON SNAPCHAT FOR STORAGE. WHO DOES THAT? TAKE A PHOTO ON THE iOS CAMERA APP THEN UPLOAD TO SNAPCHAT. ARE YOU TRYING TO OFFLOAD YOUR LIFE MEMORIES TO A SOCIAL MEDIA COMPANY? STORE LOCALLY OR IN iCLOUD.
Annoying Ad Style
I have been using snapchat since 2020. Good app to text friends and family, as at this point I use Snapchat more than messages. However they recently started a new advertising style where the ad pops up on your page as if you received a snap from the company. This ad style is annoying and practically infuriating. What’s next, we have to watch an ad to open snaps? Snapchat stories has always been full of ads and it’s bearable as it has stayed the same for years, however with the addition of Snap+ and having to pay for memory storage, this is becoming too much.

Worst update ever
I used to love Snapchat because it was simple, intuitive, and easy to edit photos and videos. This new update completely ruined that experience. I post far less now because the editing tools are confusing, frustrating, and nowhere near as user-friendly as they used to be.
This is, without a doubt, the worst update Snapchat has ever released. I never asked to be forced into this redesign, and it’s incredibly disappointing that users weren’t given the option to keep the original layout.
Stop fixing what wasn’t broken. Listen to your users and bring the old editing system back. This update has made the app significantly worse. Fix it. 💔😡

when I go to delete it, it doesn’t let me get rid of it. This is why I’m giving it a one star because it’s permanently an app on my phone now.
Ads are ruining this app
I’ve been on this app since it first came out and I’m one more ad away from deleting the entire app. I get ads every 5 minutes if that. I get ads at all hours of the day and night including 1 am and that’s absolutely ridiculous. 0/10 do not recommend this app.
Notification Spam from Bots Adding Me
Every day at least 1 bot adds me on Snapchat. I have tried everything involving limiting who can add me and I still get added because they’re adding me via my username and there is no way to turn that off. I understand that stopping bot traffic is a fool’s errand, especially with modern AI being able to solve Captchas. Still, there should be some way to at least turn off the notifications from users adding you. I don’t want to turn off notifications for the whole app since I want to see messages from my friends. However there is no direct setting to turn off notifications from users adding you. This is annoying enough that I am considering deleting the app entirely. I have literally never written a review on the App Store before, that’s how much this bothers me.
Also, fix your dang loading of messages. When I swipe to the message window my topmost message is the most recent message I’ve received from a friend. When I go to click it, the page reloads and an ad appears in that slot. I believe this is intentional to inflate click through numbers as there is no technical reason not to wait until everything is loaded before showing the page. I used to love Snapchat when it first came out, but with every update it feels more and more like malware. Please stop these anti consumer practices.

I’ve been paying for Snapchat now for the last year or so, which is already terrible to have to pay for a social media app, similar to a streaming service, just to avoid seeings advertisements. Well now that doesn’t matter and you must pay even MORE money for Snapchat PLATINUM to stop getting ads.
I’ve been an avid Snapchat user since it was created. Now I almost want to get rid of it completely and save my money!

I’ve put 5 stars so this can be seen snapchat u need to take off your ai and have actual people reviewing the ban appeals because how with other apps the support workers can take off bans and go onto ur account and see the issue but for snapchat that’s not possible ??. I got banned for absolutely no reason and i’ve had snapchat for 7 years different accounts and my main account i’ve had it for 6 years memories i have my dead pets on there and dead family those photos which i possibly will never see again because your a bunch of money hungry lazy people who can’t even set up a proper support email or have someone actually reading the appeals and can unban them not happy used to love snapchat i’m heart broken 6 years of memories gone down the drain 💔
