Good idea in theory
It would be great if it worked. I added the app to supplement my income when my work is slow. There are only a very few server shifts, it mostly seems to be for dishwashers. I have been able to pick up one of the very few server shifts. That’s ok except I have been kicked off the app (no big loss as it wasn’t doing much for me anyway) for not picking up shifts. I would have kept checking for something that worked for me but was kicked off.
Hopefully this works eventually as it is a great idea. However it won’t work well if you don’t let people use it.

Awesome but app is outdated
I’ve been on the platform since it opened and it has always been great. It’s currently my sole income paying all my bills. Only complaint is the app hasn’t been updated in 2 years and I have trouble with it being glitchy sometimes. I can’t clock in on the app either

Not in Houston
Hasn’t launched in Houston yet. (As of March 2022.) Tired of downloading these apps, signing up, and giving them all of my personal information (plus allowing permissions), before finding out they do not even operate in my area. I get these platforms are growing, but it would be good to know before workers invest their time into something that will not benefit the employers or employees, so they can focus on finding actual work. That being said, I hope they expand in more areas soon.

Terrible Design
So trying to sign up with them and you can’t leave their screen to go copy/paste like your EIN number. Have 2 pieces of info I need so can’t even copy/paste it in. Literally I need to write it down on paper to sign up on my phone.
How?
I’ve been trying to onboard since 2019. I was asked to do the background check twice. I waited well beyond 2weeks to hear from someone. Not once was I ever able to see any shifts. Waste of time!

A great place to work
I been working with Snapshyft off and on since 2019. (Off was when covid hit). I left my job with the railroad to come back after covid because I could be home &work. We get paid after each shift we work, we get to make our own schedule.. the pay is great, I usually work doubles on the weekends.. the list goes on and on. Anytime I’m in a store, drive Thru, gas station, tanning salon etc, I always take a few minutes and tell people about us as a company, so that anyone who needs extra income can sign up. You can work part time, full time, one shift a week or just a shift to pay a bill. It’s all up to us what we want to work. SNAPSHYFT is great. I especially love support. They work with us, support us if we have issues arising, and shoot us a text before our shifts with the address to where we are going (like our personal secretary 😉). This place is great! I will always stand behind this company.
