⭐ The App I’ve Needed for 21 Years!

I’ve had Type 1 diabetes for 21 years, and this is honestly the app I’ve been waiting for. It doesn’t just tell you the carbs—it teaches you how to eat your meal in a smarter order, suggests ways to reduce glucose spikes, and even explains why. For the first time, I feel like I have practical guidance instead of having to guess. This app has made managing diabetes feel less overwhelming, and I genuinely believe it’s improving my health. Thank you for creating something so useful.

Response from developer

Hi there, wow! Thank you so much. Hearing that SNAQ is giving you practical guidance and helping you improve your health means the world to us. This is exactly why we built the app!

SNAQ

No accurate enough. Sometime the system doesn’t get the right foods.

Unreliable - Underdeveloped

We are a newly diagnosed T1D family. I was excited to scan food and find trends and tips. With my first AI scan, it estimated 20 carbs for 3 grilled tenders and 20 carbs for a regular side of fries. This is gross incompetence… to the point where I feel like they shouldn’t offer this feature until it is more accurate. With that said, I thought I’d try to just type in foods. When I type “slim chickens fries,” it takes a minute to think and then a regular side of fries was way down at the bottom of what the search generated. Why would fried tenders be before fries when fries was clearly in the search field? I’m gonna try again today, but this is not quick or easy. It also took so many clicks to get anywhere in the app.

Response from developer

Hi there, managing a new T1D diagnosis is tough, and we want to ensure SNAQ is a helpful tool for your family! Unless you are using an iPhone Pro with a LiDAR camera, our app uses default portion sizes after identifying the food on your plate, so it’s important to check and manually adjust the portion amount to make your carb counts more accurate. Regarding the high carb count you saw for the grilled tenders, we tried searching for those items on our end and saw the expected low-carb results. Therefore, we would genuinely love to understand exactly what happened on your screen so we can either help you navigate this or improve our product. If you have a minute or two, could you please reach out to support@snaq.io? Also, we highly recommend you try adding our Home Widget to your screen! It makes logging much faster with fewer clicks, and it lets you see your nutrients against your targets without even opening the app.

Fraudulent billing

Great App

I would rate five stars but the only issue is that as a 15 year old, paying $50+ a year is a little steep but it helps me manage my BG so much better and helps me manage my food goals such as protein and fiber intakes.

Excellent app

I use SNAQ everyday for keep track of my diabetes glucose levels and meals everyday it works so well together and is a must have if your diabetic. Especially love the insulin features where I can add in both bolus & basal along with corrections.

Last Update Awful

App was good until the last update. Now it’s too hard to find net carbs. I’ll be looking for a replacement app

Photo recognition is off

Every time I take a picture of my meal for a carb count, the photo recognition is off! I think it would be good if that was fixed.

Great app

I am so thankful to have found this app, the AI coach has been a game changer for me! Some of the nutrition if requires double checking for me. I
make most of my own food, vs packaged food.
I am a Type 1 on a pump and have been 93%+ in range due to the help of the app and the ai coach!

Bait and switch

App world ok for about a day, then it stopped recognizing foods. Super clunky for entering ingredients. Dated updates and duplicated glucose entries. Then didn't let me cancel at the end of the trial period.

Best Food/Glucose monitoring app

This application does the job. Showing you glucose response to your meals and offering AI to assist with fixing your eating

Cost of app

Why is the cost hidden? The free trail of 7 days is not long enough to even get the hang of the app. Then the cost of $88/year, I just can’t. You can break it down to a couple of dollars a week, still the same at the end of the year. I’m retired due to disabilities including diabetes. I just can’t let myself get started in costly apps, even $88 helps with medical costs.

Excellent !

Would love widget for Home Screen.

Terrible update

The latest update has made this app almost useless. Can no longer easily find previous meals and it keeps putting the wrong time when I enter an insulin dose or a meal.

Learning

Not understanding how to separate meal entries
