Quickly becoming one of the most used apps on my phone
I got SnipFic about two weeks ago and it has been brilliant.
I have written every day since getting the app and gotten back into a lot of book genre’s that I both never had tried or had previously lost interest in.
I would recommend this app to literally anyone looking for a place to write and read short fiction in a spare five minutes.

Amazing!
This is an amazing app for short form writing(and other forms). There are prompts everyday that you don't have to use but are still really good. If you feel constrained by a 100 word limit, you can add a part to ant snipfic you write. Though I do admit it is buggy, the developer is very active in fixing those problems. The community is great (I've only seen one negative comment in my whole time using it.). And you can collaborate on projects. This is a great way to build up writing steak and interact with people.

My new favorite app
Nothing else to say, if you’re a writer or have stories to tell but don’t have the time to write a book, this app is for you.
Thanks J.B

Amazing
This app is amazing. Highly recommend :D
Good Idea, Okay Execution
I do enjoy this app, I’ve had it for a few days. In the short amount of time I’ve been using it, one thing has stood out to me. When attempting to post a snipfic, if you have something it deems ‘inappropriate’, it won’t let you post the story until you fix it. That is not my problem with this app. My problem is that although it tells you you have something you need to change, it doesn’t tell you what that thing is. I am trying to post a story, but it won’t let me. I do not have cursing in it, and there are no explicit scenes. In the case that there was someone writing about abuse and it censors that, I have a huge issue. Abuse and other things like it are very real issues that people can spread awareness about through using their gifts, and for me, writing is one of them. People can’t use their gifts on this app if some algorithm censors it for them. Yes, there are other ways to spread awareness. Yes, having a small change on one app may not make such a difference in the long run. But it is still important to do what we can with what we have. All in all, I do like this app, but please please please don’t censor real life issues and events!

Love snipfic.
Don’t really know what to put here, just wanted to say this is an amazing app.
SnipFic review
It’s amazing - and perfect for short writing. There are so many different ways of writing, and everyone on the app is so friendly. It’s great for enhancing writing skills, no matter how long the pieces are.
Not to mention how fun it is too!

Amazing For Quick Reading/Writing!
This is such an amazing app! And while I always like to clarify before I say this that I have no official proof, I’ve suspected I have ADHD for a long time now, often making sitting down and watching a movie, or reading a book, or doing any of one thing for a long period of time, a real chore to me, even though I love stories and reading stories and writing some of my own.
Snipfic offers what other writing sites don’t: short form stories that can be published whenever you feel like it. It’s very flexible based off of your mood and it’s such a good site for writers of all ages!!!

It’s PERFECT
I seriously love this app so much, for so many different reasons. As someone who’s always wanted to get into writing but was never sure how, I’m on this app every single day. It literally takes three minutes to write something, and the community is inhumanly supportive. Plus, it scratches that itch that social media like TikTok or whatever gives me, but in a much healthier way - I seriously recommend. I’ve only had it for maybe a couple of months, and my writing skills are already improving. PLEASE get this app!

Amazing
SnipFic is a great way to improve your writing, honestly. It’s super fast, super fun, and I legitimately believe that I have grown as a writer since I downloaded this app.
Great for writing!
Great way to improve your writing skills, and it’s surprising addictive to write fun sized stories
INCREDIBLE APP
I’ve never given an app five stars before. SNIPFIC IS 100% WORTH IT. I use it all the time to write and gain an audience, it’s amazing!
Massive potential, with room to grow
This app is generally good for the community that it tries to curate. I think that this is an overall positive, however, I couldn’t give 5 stars in good faith.
What I like:
- No ads
- Clean interface without clutter
- Very easy to get started
- The 100 world limit offers a unique challenge, while not being overly restrictive
- Outstanding creator engagement and response; some of the best I’ve seen
- Unique, inspiring daily prompts
- Great app performance—I haven’t experienced any lag or crashes personally
- A friendly, supportive community that treats new users well
- Low pressure and fun. It makes writing something that can easily be incorporated into a daily routine with little effort.
What I dislike (some of these will likely be changed later, as the app is still in its infancy, however, I thought they’d still be worth noting):
- Formatting issues: after publishing, the ‘page’ system can cause strange breaks in the middle of sentences. Sometimes this happens for no clear reason, as there is still space on the page for more words.
- Lack of disability support, and fixed font size which may cause issues for those with visual impairments.
- Poor landscape support: The interface does not rotate or adapt well if you are not using a phone.
- No content warnings beyond the 18+ tag, which users can lie about. If users want to add a trigger warning, they must add it to the title or work itself, which can make it harder to fit within the word/character limit. Furthermore, it makes it more difficult to be specific about the warning.
- This app can heavily favour certain types of writing, and potentially force users into a specific box. From what I’ve seen, more dialogue-heavy stories, which don’t contain overly detailed prose, are what gets the most traction here. This may force writers into a generic YA (potentially even a more novice) style.
- Very overt and frequent preaching. I think some is fine, expected, even. However, throughout my time using this app, I have encountered numerous “stories” that are just excerpts from the Bible. This can be frustrating when one is trying to read user-written stories.
- Similarly, as writing snipfics is the main form of interaction (alongside comments, which require a snipfic to comment on), most people communicate through them. As of now, there is no way to filter these out. In fact, there is currently no system to filter out certain things, and only a system to only see certain ‘vibes’/genres.
- Pushing newer works can have a downside, as many people use the part system to post longer works. As newer works are what is recommended, users are likely to be recommended later parts to a story. I would recommend a system where each day, the user can select one story they wrote to push. This allows other users to be recommended the crucial starts to longer stories.
- Search engine limitations—you can search for words in a stories title, but nothing beyond that.
- Lack of chronological tracking—there is no reading log history, so if you forget to save a work, you may not be able to find it again.
- People writing/spamming nonsense to maintain their writing streaks, which clogs the recommended page.
- Account/work privacy: there is no option to make your account or stories private, or limited to just certain people.
Overall, because the app is still so new, these issues shouldn’t be judged too harshly. The core concept is fantastic, the performance is smooth, and the community is wonderful. However, it feels a bit too unfinished for a higher rating right now. It has massive potential, and I will happily upgrade my score to 5 stars as the platform matures and these problems are addressed.
I will certainly continue to use this app in the meantime :)

Calling All Writers!
SnipFic is an awesome writing app that I started using due to a friend recommendation! It’s a really great way to collaborate on stories, find great writing pieces, build and audience, and finally free your brain of the millions of delusion living there without any rent. Don’t usually write reviews but this is a 10/10 app that improved my writing immensely.

Awesome for writer’s block!
As an aspiring teen novelist, I find that along with helping my writing to be more concise, I often strike ideas for my main novel while writing a snip fic. I also love getting to read from different people’s perspectives and getting inspired! Awesome app, 100% recommend.
love
I love this app! and hello anyone in the quills mafia who happens to stumble upon my review!
