What's New in Sobriety Chips

1.4

September 30, 2022

Reduced the file size of most images by up to 65%, making the sticker pack download size much smaller. For coins images over 20 years, I've made them much easier to read by switching from Roman numerals to standard English numbers.

Can’t open

I was so excited to see virtual coins, only to be disappointed that the app wouldn’t open. It’s extremely frustrating. 😑

Response from developer

This is an iMessage Sticker Pack not an app. Send stickers in Messages on iPhone. See more information on the apple support page https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/iphone/iph37b0bfe7b/ios

Fantastic and Helpful

I’m so glad that Kurt made these stickers and then put them in the store! Every one looks great and more importantly, helps me to communicate what an achievement the accumulation of sober time happens to be.
Sober time is garnered one day at a time and a person in recovery has a much greater chance of success by staying in today. However, a quick indicator of experience while sober is the number of years one has accumulated. That number by no means guarantees an opinion is any more valid, it just says there’s a greater chance the person with more time has come out the other side without finding it necessary to drink.
These chips are really valuable for encouragement; especially for those with single-digit (less than ten-year’s) time. Again, I am so grateful these are here, as one more way to participate in a loved one’s sober journey.
Thank you for reading and be well.

Thank you for your feedback. YIS Kurt

I don't use this app. Take it off. No reason I should update it.

No reason I should update this app.
Reply to your email today that I got from kurt: I have deleted this app. The icon doesn't show up anywhere! But yet i get update notifications. Please delete this. When you do I will remove my one star rating.

Response from developer

Hi. Thanks for the feedback. The update adds coins for up to 60 years sobriety as I recently had a friend who turned 55 years sober. Not sure why you don’t just remove the app and why you feel the need to leave a one star review? If your unsure how to remove an app check out this link https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT208479 Take care. Kurt. Hi, This is a common misunderstanding with Apple iMessage sticker packs. As this is an iMessage Slicker pack only there is no app icon. When creating a iMessage there is a row of icons along the bottom of the screen from there you can select and send stickers. Please see this link about how to use & delete iMessages sticker packs https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT208479 Best regards, Kurt.

I love this app!

It took me a minute to realize that it is not an icon on the phone, but I read the notes (imagine that!) and found out how to use it. Great idea for this virtual world today!

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you’ve gotten some use from the sticker pack and figured out how to use it. For anyone else struggling to find and use the iMessage stickers here is a link to Apple support pages on how to install, use & delete iMessage sticker packs https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT208479 Best regards, Kurt.

Does not work

The app doesn’t show off as an icon anywhere on my phone when I go into the app profile I hit open it brings me to my photos.

Response from developer

Hi. Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. This is a common complaint with Apples iMessage sticker packs. Sobriety Chips is an iMessage sticker pack only and will not show as a seperate app icon on your device. It’s available only when you’re sending an iMessage. Look for the row of iMessage sticker icons when creating a message and if the app has been installed you will see it there. If you would like an app icon to send the coins in other apps please try my other app called “Recovery Birthdays” which will show as an app on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. Please see this link on how to use iMessages sticker packs. https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT208479
