TMI

WAY too invasive with all of the information they ask for your profile. It turned me away from the app immediately. Why does it ask to put things like my ethnicity, eye colour and if I’ve ever drank or smoke? Not stated is an option for some but not all of the weird things they ask for. Maybe this is typical for dating apps but as someone who just wanted to make a couple of friends I found it really strange and offputting from an internet safety perspective. Also they have no option for mute people. I had to just select hearing. They really should add a hearing and mute option, or just add mute and have check boxes so you can select any combination.

Upgrade

I paid for the upgrade but my account continued to show in free status that limits access. I contacted support via email and received no response.

Subscription

I purchased the CHAMP subscription for this program. But, it didn’t change my subscription to CHAMP. It still showed my subscription as Free. I don’t know why that is the case.

Verification Code Issues

So I tried to sign up for this app, I’m a hearing ASL student and I want to connect with more people in the Deaf community. But when I tried to create an account, I was asked to put in an email to receive a verification code and type it into the app to make sure it was me. I tried one of my emails and never received any verification codes, I tried another email and still didn’t receive a verification code. I would like to use the app but I can’t because of this issue, I wish they allowed verification codes to be received through phone number but that isn’t an option. I hope this is fixed soon because I would like to better my ASL and make friends in the Deaf community.

I’m hearing, so maybe not

I can’t really judge the app because I haven’t actually used it yet, but I got on to create an account in the hopes of making friends with Deaf people in my area that I can practice ASL with. I’m hearing, though, and that isn’t an option in the selection of Deaf affiliations in the account setup (which is required). I know this app isn’t meant for me, so I totally get it, but if a hearing option does become available in the future, I’d be delighted to make an account and start connecting with people in the Deaf community.

App

This app is the worse dating app I ever been on. I do not recommend it.
