Terrible, outdated app
This app is terrible, it’s outdated, the controls are clunky and some are broken. When going to/from full screen the video rewinds and you lose progress. You can’t skip forward at this point because it is monitored for FAAST credit.

Never works on my ipad, crashes relentlessly.

Every time you go back the map page it takes a long time to load. I do have fast internet. That is the only page on the app going that.

Crashes - Use Web app
App crashes on startup. Reinstalling might allow it to run for a minute. However, forcing Safari to use desktop mode in settings will allow you to use the web page, which still works. This used to be a popular favorite for finding fly-ins. Not sure how much longer people will continue posting here with the unusable App implementation getting in the way. I’m legitimately sad.

Please wait
The last several versions of the app have been unuseable on my Ipad. I'm told to "please wait" indefinitely.
Love the idea, but…
The app is extremely slow and full of bugs. I love the idea and would love to use it but you’re always waiting for things to load. It’s painfully slow. What’s worse? Patiently waiting, thinking that what you clicked on is worth the wait only to have the app crash so you have to start over.
Needs improvement
This app is about ten years behind standards. The slow loading is the worst. It takes far too long to get into the app. I can’t use it. It’s too slow and it’s not the internet speeds. It’s the app.
Unusable
This is an example of great idea executed so poorly. You can ignore the bad UI but not knowing how to cache data makes this totally unusable if you work on the map.
Always Frozen
I just hate this app. As ,e ti ones in other reviews, please wait is a regular occurrence. After the wait, the app freezes EVERY TIME. Just terrible.
It’s like a delicious pastry on a interstate bus toilet lid.
I love the content of this app, what it aims to provide, there’s so much variety and good information. But dear lord the UI is absolutely terrible and the app is so buggy. Even though there is so much I wanted to make use of in this app, the interface is repulsive and overall broken. Spinning circles, constant crashes… years go by and nothing improves.

Awesome idea - execution of the app is horrible
SocialFlight is a fantastic concept and I’m really pulling for long-term success as it will be a great asset to all aviators. The app is painful though. “Please wait” takes a long time. After that clears, there is an ad for an airplane that can’t be closed (with the ‘x’). Re-open the app…gets to the end of “Please wait”…crashes.

Great concept - poor performance
I want to LOVE this app. The problem is that, for me, the “please wait” issue is the same for me as it is countless others. WHEN I can actually download the advertised events, I LOVE it. But that rarely happens. Yesterday, the “please wait” was going on for nearly 30 minutes before I force-closed the app. I’ve tried to use the app on multiple devices: same result. If they don’t fix this, I’ll be deleting it because I can’t use it. The only reason for the 2-star rating is that I really WANT to love this…otherwise, I would’ve just given the 1-star.

Extremely glitchy
I use it (try) on my iPad. It will sit there trying to download the calendar data for endless minutes before crashing. Love the idea but I have no time to wait for a program that doesn’t work.
Good Idea, Horrible Implementation
This app makes me long for the sweet release of death. I deleted it hoping the website version might work better, but the app is the only option. The problem? It’s the “please wait” spinning circle. It happens every time you try to do anything. What is this app doing all the time that requires being froze up with that spinning circle? I’m on a fast modern iPad, and have an iPhone 16. What is the deal with this thing??

Great concept if it worked
This app used to work pretty well but all it does now is say please wait, and wait, and wait. Then it crashes. Going to delete it.
Doesn’t live up to its potential
I’ve had the app for years. Biggest issue is it’s ALWAYS been slow to open or change pages. The “please wait” window is all I see sometimes and then the app crashes. When it works it’s helpful and you can filter the events you are interested in.
Horrible
I tried to use this app to take IAA refresher courses unfortunately it’s virtually worthless for that. If you touch your phone at all, it starts over at the beginning. There’s no way to skip forward and you could invest 59 minutes into an hour course just to have to start over. Whoever developed this app should be ashamed of himself. This is the most unprofessional waste of time you couldn’t pay me $100 to use. Fix your stupid app.
