Love the concept but it’s buggy
This would be 5 stars if it didn’t bug out like crazy. I love the concept, definitely stops scrolling reels. But I can’t reply to my friends stories and posting on the app makes things look weird so then I just redownload the app and end up back where I started

This app is incredible. It feels like instagram 2014 when the only content I had to see was from my friends and people I actually follow. No reels has given me so much time back and the ability to focus on content I actually want to consume. I also love that it doesn't load instantly, the subtle delays are enough to have me be really mindful about my usage

Ruined my phone
YouTubes app outside of social lite won’t work right and instagram has been weird as well don’t recommend unless you want Ai slop bricking your socials out side of shorts haven’t tried the other apps so don’t know if there’s issues there but I would assume so.

cool concept but could use a bit of tweaking: i cant scroll down in my dms, and its annoying having to always pass through the socialite app to open insta, it would be cool to directly click on insta and the reels are already blocked by socialite. i know you guys have a widget for that but it comes with 4 different apps and im only using socialite for insta so it kindof takes up space on my homescreen for nothing. also you lose a few features like you cant send or receive pictures or videos or use polls and you cant call ppl... other than that very cool!

definitely recommend
i’ve never written a review, but this app is amazing. after deleting tiktok, i found myself replacing it with reels. i really didn’t want to completely delete instagram because it makes me feel connected to my friends. this app keeps me off reels and now I only see what my friends post. I really appreciate it being free, especially because you can try it out and see if it works for you before deciding if you wanted to purchase the pro version. Other apps would always charge and I didn’t want to pay when I wasn’t sure if it would even work. I definitely recommend this app and everyone needs this!!

It really works!!
I love SocialLite beside it still lets me use social media to keep up with friends, but cuts out the most addictive parts and helps me remember to focus on real connections.

This app is SO close to what I was looking for. Except that it eliminates the ‘snooze suggested content in feed for 30 days button’ ?? So you can eliminate the explore tab, but your main feed is still full of random unfollowed accounts. Bring back the built in snooze feature that instagram already had.. please!! Then I would have all the functionality I could possibly want in the free version of the app

Immediate download
Saw the add on instagram once & immediately downloaded. I missed instagram without reels and I loved that I could use the app without reels. However it feels like I’m using the website form of ig and the UX/UI feels slightly stiff. Apart from that I really like it
Love the idea execution can be hard
Loving it so far because I need Instagram for communication but not for scrolling, although you can’t view photos sent by others (if they are temporary) as well as removing apps from the social lite menu crashes the app. Otherwise it’s a great easy tool

Amazing app
This app would probably be great for parents but you should lock it with a Face ID so your child can’t get in. I’m a college student who needs to focus so i just use the app to hold me accountable. It works great and doesn’t let me go back. I finally feel focused and have so much more free time. It also blocks adult content and doesn’t save any personal data so it’s an instant recommend! Also you don’t have to purchase the premium version to use just skip that stuff

Completely ruined all my accounts
It locked me out of all my accounts because it’s suspicious activity and I can’t use the apps to clarify that it’s me because it locked me out of the apps too. It doesn’t limit your social medias it blocks the apps themselves and makes new apps so you need to log back in to all of them just so they can all get flagged

I can’t uninstall the app.
I don’t have the uninstall prevention turned on, it only lets me remove the app from my home screen but not uninstall it. Shady app.
Not a good experience
It doesn't block reels in the actual apps. It opens its own version of social media within the Socialite app, which appears to be just the mobile browser version rather than the actual app with some blockers add on top.
DM upgrade!
This is literally the app idea I had in my head, if only there were a way to keep my DMs and I’m sure like most of us do, all of our contacts are in social media now. This is the best implementation and these apps feel fun to use again once the predatory behaviors are removed. Please not sure if it’s possible to update the dm most some more to make it more customizable? Instagram is one of those app I can remove due to many contacts. So improving the dm mode will go a long way for me and support this team on the amazing work. You get it. I get cold turkey but sometimes you need certain functions of the app. This allows for it. And there’s even an option for it too!

Strong potential but often unusable
Lots of potential and I love when it works. Unfortunately 90% of the time when I try to open an app (ie Instagram) I get stuck in an endless loop of the "ready to start your day?" and "wake window is open" screens, regardless of the options I choose on either screen
Instagram lacks calls
Cannot call or pick up calls on instagram.
Stopped me scrolling
Completely stopped me scrolling instantly, can be a little clunky and crashy at times but has changed my life for the better.
Effective, but has some major bugs
This app is fantastic for reducing screen time on instagram, but the UI for snapchat and tiktok are very buggy. Performs exactly as advertised for instagram. Tiktok continues to play audio even after the app is closed. Snapchat has severe issues when viewing stories and messages to the point where it is unusable for me. There is no ability to view a list of all your friends stories, you have to manually click through all of them to see the one you want. It also has issues displaying messages and cuts off the right side of them.
