Good app but with one problem

Very good app and very pleased but it won’t let me log into my tik tok at all I don’t know why. I still want to post stuff on it

More time for me

Excellent app, so many times I would open fb to check a message just to find myself a few hours later neck deep is political click/rage bait. This completely puts an end to that. Wish I downloaded sooner.

Tik tok won’t link

Great idea. But it won’t let me log into tik tok account

1 week in

Amazing !!!! Will change my life

About time

Someone finally did it, thank you so much — Free version for now but I sense this may actually be an app I’ll happily pay a subscription for, short form content is cancer.

What WE finally needed

I usually don’t post reviews but this app is too good so I had to post one. Always needed instagram for messaging friends but those damn reels took so much of my time. The creator has done a very good job of making it feel just like the actual instagram app. This saves me hours a day I’m so grateful.

Could be perfect

At first, when I install installed SocialLite, I thought this was going to be it - the answer to my Instagram addiction. But for most users this is not the case, because while the app does block reels, without a premium subscription suggested reels pop-up normally on your homepage, making it just as easy to scroll as the native instagram app. While I do understand the fact that the app developers need to make a profit, it defeats the entire purpose of the app for me. Other than this issue, the app does exactly what it needs to and I appreciate how it stops you from scrolling reels that your friends send.

Not really usable

If you don’t mind never posting on your instagram account again then this app is fine, However they lie in the photos, showing this app to be a mod for Instagram, when all this app is a link to a custom safari browser were your streaming content at half the resolution especially on apps like YouTube, expect worse audio, worse bit rate, and lower pixels and just general jank and crashing, and expect to be gate kept by a pay wall of 90 dollars a year to use most of this apps features, if your end goal is to quit instagram then this app is for you, if you want to actually maintain an account then this app will only waste your time

The tool I’ve been wishing for

I thought it an impossible wish to simply remove short-form content from my socials, but it’s here and it’s working flawlessly for me—and for free! My scrolling time feels much more intentional and fulfilling, and with much less gravity pulling me back in. Thank you!

Best social app I’ve ever used

This got rid of my scrolling habits and actually gained back my attention span. All the other apps pale in comparison to this. Also if you want to spend just a little extra you can get ad block on all the apps. I hope it stays this way as it made social media palatable again

Loved this app until it stopped working

Like the title says, I loved this app and its features and it helped me stay off instagram. However after paying for premium the app blocking feature stopped working, and both avenues of support that Sociallite offered were incredibly unhelpful

Perfect but needs to be combined with Quitter

This is 10x better than Opal because it forces you to wait a minute and write out letter by letter of what you’re doing before you increase the amount of time on social media. I went from 20hours of social media a week (down from 40 before Opal)To maybe 1hr a week. Way more effective. I will say that the app Quittr when combined with Socialite makes this bulletproof because Quittr has a feature that permanently blocks your selected apps and in order to unlock them you have to wait 1-2hours. Where on socialite it’s a lot easier to unblock permanently blocked apps.

Still very grateful for this app I only gave it 4 stars so you guys can make it even better. I was praying to The Lord Jesus Christ that he sends something to help me from myself and he provided a mast(Odyssey reference) through you guys. Thank you guys so much you’re literally saving lives.

This app really helps

This app is actually really helpful with reducing screen time, as it eliminates reel scrolling. I do wish that it still functioned well enough to post stories/on the grid, as my work around was to download the Instagram app separately in order to still do this. It’s perfect if you’re not a poster though!

Riddled with in app purchases

Not impressed. Great idea…too good to be true. Yes it cuts down on ads and deletes the reels function in Instagram, but will not work correctly without a subscription, which is priced quite high in my opinion. Cash Grab! 😠

Poorly made and very buggy everything

Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat are all very very poorly ported. Snapchat is the worse YouTube is pretty bad as well. I’m not sure if it’s an elaborate plot to just get you to stop using it entirely but YouTube will refresh randomly or when you press elements of the screen along with occasionally just not activating any videos you click on and snap chat will perform horrendously. Snaps not opening sending snaps very poorly, no filters, trouble loading texts and group chats and also no notifications for snap chat. But I appreciate it’s free to use the main but it’s still a very poorly optimized and bug tested app with a very good idea

It’s bad quality on YouTube

Good but needs some work

I love this app, however, there are some things that need to be fixed. If someone sends you a link to Instagram, you cannot click it. You can only be sent DMs but you can’t open any other links that would bring you to Instagram. If you like facebook marketplace, you will not be able to buy anything on there because Sociallite does not link to messenger. Unfortunately I’m going to have to offload the app just to send a facebook message. I wish you could temporarily shut off sociallite for a specific app but this is not an option so some apps are really not usable at all with this.

Shorts

I love youtube while i do chores, but id always get distracted and waste time on YouTube shorts, they completely ruined such a great app with short form content, a few years ago things were simple, tiktok if u wanted to waste hours, youtube if you wanted something in the background, instagram a few influencers and memes, snapchat to keep in touch with friends, and twitter to see some pretty terrible things, but now they all are tiktok, this app has saved me HOURS of my day

Extremely Effective

This app has really helped me to stop doomscrolling. I’ve been using it for about a week, and my screen time has gone down considerably. I’m about to delete the app, but not because it didn’t do its job, because it’s convinced me to take it a step further and just completely get rid of these apps designed to make you waste your days. Probably the only app in the world where deleting the app means it’s done its job. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. No purchases necessary too.
